The members of the kelpie bauplan are shoreside shapeshifters- it is hard to conceptualize any one true form for certain. But there are distinct preferences, especially when they return to the water. The traditional kelpie becomes a wading mount animal, nökken adopt borderline human faces to better suit the music they so love to craft, puca take shadowy black forms, and the merrow opt for a sort of midling shape, with aquatic hind features and dextrous arms.
