the first firearm he ever laid his hands on was a pellet gun, which he got from his father when he was 12 years old.

he was in the 10th grade when he was formally diagnosed with anxiety.

during his childhood, he used to frequently play baseball. It's believed that he played at a local baseball club located near his family home.

during the 911 call in the aftermath of the attack, he mentioned that he had wanted to become a pilot when he was young.

in 2011, he bought a chevy malibu along with his twin brother, mathieu.

just like mathieu, alexandre liked to play both chess and piano. he started to play chess when he was around 13 years old.

he dislikes long chess sessions because they require too much concentration and prefers playing blitz. (fast-paced chess sessions)

in a reddit post, mathieu confirmed that alexandre once had positive interactions with a muslim woman at their university chess club from 2011/2012.

according to ‘have i been pwned?’, he previously had a myspace account. however, his username on the site remains unknown as of now.

the scc decision, or r. c. bissonnette case, states that alexandre suffers from hypochondria. alexandre’s father also mentioned in his book that during alexandre’s childhood years, his family had to frequently reassure him about his health, and on some occasions, had to be taken to an emergency room.

his friends reported that he showed little to no interest in politics before marine le pen (a far-right french politician) visited quebec. 

according to his father, he’s had black friends.

extra: people speculated that he was the original poster of a 4chan /pol/ thread implying an upcoming mosque attack + the thread was posted 6 hours before his attack. some canadian news outlets even covered it.
