Alex Spanos, Los Angeles Chargers Billionaire Owner, Dies at 95

Alex Spanos, whose 1984 purchase of the San Diego Chargers football team culminated a rags-to-billionaire rise in real estate, has died. He was 95.

He died Tuesday, according to a statement on the team’s website. No additional details were given.

The South beat the North 28-0, but there are a couple of reasons, El Capitan (the South staff) played Mt. Carmel (the North staff) last season and had a pretty good idea what they were going to run. And many potential North team members that would have participated in the game have reported to colleges that they are on scholarship for. Arzola picked off a deep ball thrown by the South’s QB Gavin Grady, however, in the second half, for an interception. But no TD’s by the North.

This event is heavily supported by the San Diego Chargers and Spanos family.  The student athletes tour Charger park, the locker room, and state of the art training facilities. For many graduating high school seniors, this is their final football game played. All proceeds of this event goes to support the High School Sports Association of San Diego.
