Why alchemising is better than manifesting?

MANIFESTING: creating something that has been created before

My brother and Lestrade both mentioned the things they’d created with the Alchemiter, so I thought that I would detail mine as well.

I’ve been quite productive lately, finding the second gate and everything. While I was in John’s library, I managed to create three Rocketpacks out of spare backpacks (and John’s backpack) and a set of books on rockets (obviously I had to use the || function). I also attempted to combine a nearby mannequin with a Prospitian article on me (don’t ask how I got it; you would only waste your breath) to make a realistic body double, but it didn’t work. Cost too much grist.
