Hybrids au!! Jake is part tiger and has characteristics similar, Albert is part flamingo and penguin, flamingo being more dominant in his characteristics!

Albert’s parents were fighting again, his mum had thrown him out for the 5th time. He took whatever was in his backpack and flew off to his second home- Jake’s home.

He fluttered up to Jake’s window, it was like, 2 am? Jake was most likely asleep. But Albert really needed someone. He did their secret code knock- one two three, one two three, the first six notes of the Zelda theme. They were big Zelda heads, they played it all the time and-

Jake opened his window, hair disheveled, his tail slowly swaying, signs of just being woken. He was a little grumpy.

“Albert? It’s like… way too late, what’s wrong?” Jake rubbed his eyes, “I got a wrestling meet in the morning..”

Albert was sniffling, face pink and puffy from crying and yelling. He took a breath.

“My old Lady’s at it again.. can I stay the night?” It started to rain, Jake sighed and helped Albert in. Grabbing his bag and setting it by his bed, he pulled his best friend into a hug, even if he got wet, he knew Albert liked hugs.

The bird hugged back and hiccuped from crying. He pulled away and flapped his wings a bit to get the water off. Muttering something about having to preen later. Jake handed him a clean pair of sweats, a tank top and his favorite hoodie. Albert thanked him and went to change in the bathroom. He came out and stood there.

“Where should I sleep..?” He asked too shyly. Jake patted his bed.

“Cmon, I know you’re a big cuddler.” Jake smiled and got back under the covers, Albert slowly joined him and tucked his wings behind himself, arms wrapping around Jake. Jake started to purr softly, head nestled under Albert’s chin, tail wagging slowly. Albert chuckled softly and kissed the older’s forehead, his small feathered head wings flapping.

They both fell asleep. The next morning Albert woke to Jake purring and clawing his pillow, ‘making biscuits’ as most called it. Albert giggled and sat up,

“Don’t you got a wrestling meet to prepare for?” He asked,

“This is how I prepare.”
