It was late into the evening when Leilani slumped against the sofa, exhausted. She wiped the sweat from her brow with the back of her hand, idly spun the duster in the other. The Summer Festival had spoiled her-- and the first day back to reality was brutal. She had spent the day tidying the Master’s home, ensuring it maintained an aura of perfection. All that was left was to finish dusting the study, and then the promise of sleep would finally come true.
The sound of approaching footsteps caught her attention.
“Master,” she greeted Alaric, running the duster over a lampshade. “Did you need something?”
