Lil self indulgent au where Apollo and Aktal are celebrities. Apollo is a pop star and Aktal is an actor. Theyre exes still. Apollo thinks it's on good terms and Aktal does not agree </3. They're both bigger names in fashion so they have to see each other semi-regularly.
INTRO: AKTAL
After about 2 million years the other gods decided to look for Apollo. He had a reputation for wandering of and getting distracted, and two million years is not all that long for eternal beings so no one worried at first.
Aktal had been close to Apollo, but of course Apollo has no knowledge of this.
In this world building the gods arnt really gods of anything in the same sence Greek gods are, but they have specific jobs. Apollo, before he came to earth at least, was in charge of taking care of/noting the details. For example if there was a part of the universe the other gods didn't think was serving a purpose anymore, Apollo would go in, poke around, look at the details and then if he thought it was salvageable, he'd fix it. If not, he'd tell Aktal.
Aktal is the embodiment of black holes, supernovas, Suns exploding. He clears the way for new creations. Him and Apollo often worked hand in hand and were the closest of most of the gods. All though Aktal wouldn't say, because he thinks things like dating are very human and stupid concepts, him and Apollo were basically together.
So when he comes to earth to bring Apollo back home, under the impression that the only reason Apollo hadn't returned on his own was because he was stuck, to find not only does he refuse to come home but he's in a relationship with one of the humans, he is NOT happy.
Aktal is not very empathetic twords humans. It's not that he dislikes them, it's just they're inconsequential in the larger scope he's used to living in. So he sees no need for pleasantries, tact, things like that. Unfortunately the way Aktal treats humans causes a greater divide between Aktal and Apollo, with Apollo becoming more firm then ever in his decision not to leave.
