From the arid sands of the Karzahni Desert to the frigid tundra of Ko-Akota, remnants of the Old World persist, weaved into the very foundation of Akota Nui. What became of the inhabitants of this world remains a mystery and holds intrigue for many Akotan scholars. Vitni, a young matoran hailing from Onu-Koro, is one such scholar. With her partner, Targa, at her side, she seeks to understand the Archeans and what brought their untimely demise- as her father did before her.

An unlikely toa, Targa assumed this form during his misguided venture into the volcanic region of Ta-Akota. Driven to the verge of death by the searing heat and vicious ta-rahi, a traveling swordsman came to Targa’s aid. Indebted to the stranger, he vowed to lend his blade to those in need as his newfound master had for him. Unbeknownst to Targa, he would eventually find himself in service to a young onu-matoran, and he would never leave her side.
