What "Make America Great Again" means to Trump and his followers. It's not about finance, universal healthcare, global warming or even minimum wage. To them it's about who controls America. Even a well governed America is not great or even America if they don't control it. Jan 6th proved that they are willing to burn it down, if their control is threatened. They throw racist and outright false statements out there (immigrants are rapist and murders, lock her up, BLM protester are all looters) because they know "The Base" will eat it up and beg for more. But the truth is that the final draft of America's history has not been written. I take solace in the fact that there were Republicans who stood fast against the attempted to destroy American democracy.
