I wouldn’t recommend painting your legs, period. There are very few exceptions to this (photoshoots that would preclude the use of tights), but the exceptions are so rare as to be almost non-existent. If you are to be wearing this at a con setting at all, tights are the way to go for legs. They don’t require any extra work, look good with no effort, save you a lot of time, save you money in the long run, and protect your costume and anything you sit on from possible getting paint on them. I recommend the microfiber tights from We Love Colors.

I usually recommend fabric covering for arms, as well, but I know that a lot of Poison Ivy’s costume are pretty bare up top, and it can be hard to hide the seams when wearing something like a bunnysuit or a strapless corset. (I’ve done the body paint in a bunnysuit thing, and I painted myself because there was no way to do with without making a bodysuit and still having visible seams that would need to be Photshopped out later.)

Since you are doing arms, chest, and face, I’m assuming you’re getting a water-activated paint. (Alcohol activated would work well for your body, but it’s expensive and usually requires an airbrush.) These paints typically (unless made for airbrush) come in a cake that you wet with water (or Liquiset/whatever other branded alternative) and then apply with a brush or sponge. I like sponges because I can cover more area and get a more even finish, but they tend to soak up a lot of product. It’s personal preference at that point. Because you are mixing the paint with water, a cake of it lasts for longer than you would expect. I’ve been able to paint my face, neck, arms, and stomach and only use maybe ¼ or 1/3 of an 8ml cake of paint (which costs me just under $8). If you plan on wearing the costume often, I would recommend a larger cake (30ml costs me just under $15), which will last you practically forever.

As for brands, again, it’s all personal preference once you get to the good stuff. I personally swear by Kryolan. Kryolan Aquacolor is the brand name of their water-activated paint. I know that others like Ben Nye (Magicake is their water-activated line) and Mehron (Paradise AQ), but I haven’t personally tried those brands. I do know that KAQ comes in a lot of different colors and lasts for a long time on your skin. I haven’t personally had any sensitive skin issues with it, but it does have a weird smell, if that bothers you.

That’s a tough one.  You would normally assume Noiz because he’s protective to the point of being possessive but Aoba is fiercely protective of his little meme.  Noiz has been through too much. Who cares too much?
