im not saying america isnât racist or that a lot of americans arenât racist lmaoâŚwhat you seem to be saying is that iâm blaming europeans for americaâs racism and like uhhâŚread a history book. american colonists were european. these were european ideals. white folk did not just sprout up in north america and decide that natives were ungodly savages and start murdering them.
colonists had black slaves and slave codes far before the revolutionary war and considered themselves british up until the revolutionary war. without the british (and spanish) the slave trade would not have come to be and we wouldnât have this damn mess. if i was blaming them (which, for the record, is not the point of my post) i would have a shit ton of evidence and history to back me up
white people/europeans need to stop removing themselves from this issue as if their culture is not a part of it, and as if aspects of american racism are not present in their own country. white europeans need to stop using american racism as a shield or a cover-up for their own.
in addition, you need to ask yourself why youâre so desperate to defend yourself and your country when people point out your blatant racism. do not come at me with this bald faced lie about how most people in your white dominated country, with a strong history of xenophobia and racism, âarenât racistâ
