My mom has commented on my weight multiple times lately and it’s super uncomfortable. She’s said things like “what are you doing to lose weight lately?” and “You’ve gotten so skinny recently, what is it you’re doing that I’m not?”
This is coming from a mom who knows I’ve had an eating disorder. She’s constantly monitoring her food and doing these stupid fad diets like Atkins and Keto.. and then her weight yo yo’s. And then she has this daughter who can’t eat normally, who is literally killing herself in this slow, torturous way, who used to ask for help only for it to be received with “don’t be so dramatic you’re fine” whom she now applauds for the consequences of an eating disorder.
My mom has given me everything I ever needed financially; she’s allowed me to live at home beyond 18 and still provide for me more than she has too, but man.. emotionally.. emotionally I sometimes feel like she’s fucked me over more so than my sexually abusive father ever did.
The first flakes are falling. SNOWPOCALYPSE 2014 is begun.
