Hi! Welcome to the first post of our ‘30 before 30’ blog. What is this you ask? We - AJ and Shal - are going to turn the big Three-Oh next year. We want to spend the last year of our 20s, doing all kinds of things. Things we love doing, things that improve the quality of our lives, things that help us grow and things that are fun! So we’ve created a list of 30 things we want to do, before we turn 30. Hopefully, at the end of this year, we’ll get through all the things in this list and find ourselves to be older, wiser, fitter and more inspired as we head into our thirties.

Learn a new musical instrument (piano)

Watch a play on Broadway in NYC

Make a budget and stick to it

Hike Half Dome together

Go Kayaking together

Increase fluency in Spanish (AJ) and German (Shal)

Work out 200 out of 365 days

Take a cooking class together

Read 12 books in 12 months

Go to a multi-day music festival

Take yoga classes on weekends

Get the perfect backyard

Learn to hold a plank for 3 minutes

Publish an app on the app store

Go to LA's Harry Potter kingdom

Throw a big house party with home cooked meal (Parenthood style)

In the following months, we’ll publish more posts as we accomplish things from the list. Some things on the list are meant to be ongoing throughout the year and we’ll post periodic updates about how those are coming along. We’ll also do a post about why we picked the things we picked :)
