This species is native to East Asia, but has been introduced into the Netherlands, as well as other parts of Europe.

Opted to go for a female duck. They have a very rough time.

This color variation, caused by a mutation, is likely a form of leucism.

This color phase is bred in captivity, and is very rare in the wild. It is possible that this is an escaped captive bird... but maybe not!

The 2nd photo from the bottom has the bird with a normally colored male Wood Duck.
