My theory right now is that Aiolon is actually Naterra. Either past or future. I'm leaning towards the past because of Naterra's highly advanced distant past, and because one of the unnamed NPCs in the campaign sounded a lot like Belphomet himself.
Alternatively, he could also be a planeswalker like the main eight and simply planeswalked from Aiolon to Naterra.
