You know what, I'm here for it.

A few days ago i half-jokingly made a post about gmmtv making our skyy season 2 with some of the newer couples and the idea has run away with me so now i will be making a pitch for each episode for the couples i mentioned. So here we go

AiNi (Tonhon Chonlatee)

subtitled: Adventures in Babysitting

Ai and Ni have offered to babysit tonchon's 7 month old daughter so tonchon can take a 3 day/2 night vacation for their wedding anniversary

Now ai, ni, ton, chon, and miriam have all been living together so aini knows how to take care of the baby, but tonchon have still been the primary caretakers and this is the first time they have been left completely on their own for such a long time with the baby

(miriam has also taken this chance to go on vacation with her girlfriend, bc she deserves both a vacation and a girlfriend)

(before this gets any further i should mention i know very little about babies and what they do at each age so if anything's inaccurate, sorry)

now this episode will be split between the present (them babysitting) and flashbacks to when the baby was first born, so i'm going to talk about these separately

everything with baby goes pretty well, they feed her and bath her and play with her and what not, it's very cute and domestic

ton calls them like every few hours to check in, chon can be heard through the line telling ton to calm down, that aini know what they're doing, but he "can't calm down, chon, this is the first time we've been way from her for so long"

(everybody thought ton would be the chill parent and chon the overprotective one but it's def the opposite, ton is a total helicopter parent and is completely whipped for their daughter, once she grows up he will be wrapped around her finger)

the present scenes are mostly just domestic fluff, and are used to set up the flashbacks, like "remember how freaked out we all were when miriam gave birth?" [queue flashback], "ton, we can handle the baby, this isn't like the first time we had to watch her" [queue flashback]

the flashbacks:

flashback 1: miriam, ton, chon, ai, and ni are all hanging out in the living room when miriam goes kinda quiet and is like "um guys...i think my water just broke

queue panic--ai, ni, and ton start clearly panicking they've attended all the classes, they've talked about what to do, but in the moment their minds go completely empty

chon and miriam are the only ones not panicking and chon whips into action

"ton, call the doctor and tell him what's going on" "ni, go get the bag miriam has packed from her room for the hospital stay" "ai, go get the car ready, i need you to drive us to the hospital" and he starts asking miriam about what she's feeling and contractions and stuff

with chon's commanding tone and clear instructions they are somehow able to make it to the hospital, though there's a brief image of the car ride with aini in the front seats, ton, chon and miriam in the back, ai and ton in a forced state of calm but clearly freaking out on the inside and ni cannot shut up, while chon and miriam calmly converse, end flashback

flashback 2: they are all seated in the hallway outside miriam's room where she is waiting for labor to actually start

ai, ni, and ton have finally started to calm down now that she's in the hands of the professionals and they've realized it's not like tv where's she practically giving birth in the car

ton takes a deep breath and slumps down a bit and is about to say something to chon when he feels a tight, painful grip around his wrist

he looks over and chon is staring into the space in front of him, unseeing, looking like he's about to throw up and then faint

"chon...?" he starts hyperventilating "oh my god, oh my god, it's happening, we're having a baby, holy shit, we're about to be dads"

basically now that he doesn't have to be the calm voice of reason, his own panic and this major life event is catching up to him

ton, ai, and ni, now calm, are able to calm him down and they wait equal part excitement and nervous, end flashback

flashback 3: miriam is now full-on in labor--again, it's not like movies, she's on pain medication and can't feel most of it, still a very tiring and stressful process

ton and ni walk in, take one look, and have to excuse themselves bc their stomachs cannot handle it

just as well since all 4 of them can't fit alongside the doctors, so chon and ai stay at her bedside to help her through it

flash forward a bit to the image of ton and chon holding their daughter with ai, ni, and miriam all cooing at the baby, I want the emphasis of this picture to be on the 6 of them as a big family rather than just ton and chon as the parents, they reveal the name of the baby

flashback 4: ai and ni taking care of the baby on their own for the first time, about a month later just for the afternoon and freaking out bc the baby won't stop crying and they don't know what to do

this is meant to provide contrast to how they're much more practiced in the present at taking care of the baby

they finally get her to sleep right as ton and chon get back

queue chon calmly taking the baby and rocking her a bit, and ton asking an exhausted aini a million questions about how the afternoon went, end flashback

Yeah, so that's the pitch for episode 1. I know it's not too romantic bc the focus isn't necessarily on them as a couple, but gmm handed me a baby and I couldn't not have baby shenanigans. Plus, they can add in a lot of flirting and stuff while taking care of the baby.
