Miki’s hands are rather rough. Having grown up helping out around the restaurant with all kinds of odd chores, dishwashing, cleaning, moving ingredients around. But apart from her calloused palms, she has pretty nice hands; long slender fingers and all. She keeps her nails short to make it easier to hold a pen for long durations of time, and also makes it harder for paint bits and charcoal dust to get stuck under them (though they ultimately do, anyway, so there is always some colored debris around the tips of her fingers). Her fingertips also permanently smell faintly of cigarettes, since smoking a couple of sticks a day is her norm. 

Ohh alright, well deserved vacations then, that’s cool and it’s good to have you back. Everything’s fine on my side, so many happened tho, I don’t teach in high schools anymore - turns out I had to find a new job as my replacement time was over and the only available offer was in Busan, Korea. I decided to go there, I had a wonderful time and then, 6 months later UTokyo called me, I’m now teaching biochem and leading some of biomolecular experiments there, I couldn’t ask for more.
