After the incident, no one from the outside world was allowed to visit him. Isaac was allowed to know very little, but he could at least guess the situation from overhearing bits and pieces. Something went wrong. He wasn’t supposed to not remember anything. They were trying to find a way if they can reverse what has been done. It took them a while to finally inform him what had happened. Not soon after, Isaac was finally allowed to have his first visitor: David Buchanan, his father.
Or at least, that’s what everyone said. Isaac felt like he has never seen the man before in his life. But if the way his face just fell when he first laid eyes on Isaac was any indication, David knew him. When Isaac was finally released, he had no choice but to stay with David. Who else would have taken a murder in?
He was supposed to feel at ease and yet, after weeks of staying inside David’s home, Isaac couldn’t help but feel like a stranger intruding in someone else’s life. With his bank and what’s left of his possession reinstated back to him, Isaac told David that it was about time he starts looking for his own place. David eventually agreed with much hesitation.
With the Daily Prophet’s classified section in hand, Isaac made it his goal that day to find a place that would take him in. He was determined to check out each vacancy, knowing that his options were limited. Isaac was reading the address of the next available flat he wanted to check when he accidentally bumped into someone. “I’m sorry! I wasn’t looking,” he immediately blurted out.
