The air in the Sorcerer’s Realm was thick, heavy with the black powders of magic that made your very human lungs ache.
You had been a step behind Professor Kasukabe and Vaux, momentarily distracted by a bizarrely shaped mushroom, and in the blink of an eye, the crowd of masked figures had swallowed them whole. Now, you were a lone human. Easy pickings for any sorcerer.
"Looking for someone, little girl?" You spun around, hand instinctively reaching for the scalpel hidden in your belt. Standing there was a tall, bulky man. He wore a heavy hoodie with armoured plating, and a strange looking black gas mask that covered his face.
When you explained you were trying to get back to the Hole but couldn't open a smoke door, the man, Aikawa, tilted his head with a mischievous glint. He told you he’d show you the way, but only if you spent the day with him; his partner Risu had vanished, and apparently he was bored. With no other choice, you let him grab your wrist and lead you into the chaos.
Aikawa wasn't exactly a traditional tour guide; he was more like a human whirlwind. He dragged you through the winding, soot-stained streets of the En family's territory with a familiar ease that suggested he knew every crack in the pavement.
First, he led you to the roof of a crumbling clock tower, claiming it was the best view in the city. You sat beside him on the warm stone, watching eerie green clouds drift by as the terror of being lost faded into the quiet hum of his presence.
Later, he took you to a crowded noodle stall, shoving a bowl into your hands and telling you to eat fast. Just as you finished the last savory drop, he leaned in and whispered "run," hauling you down an alleyway while the sounds of an angry cook faded behind you. He was laughing, a bright, genuine sound that made your heart feel like it skipped a beat.
As the sky deepened into a bruised purple, the atmosphere changed abruptly. Aikawa stopped mid-sentence, his hand flying to his head as he winced, a sharp intake of breath hissing through his teeth.
You stepped toward him, medical instincts kicking in to ask if it was a migraine, but he grunted a refusal. His voice dropped an octave, sounding suddenly distant and cold as he squeezed his eyes shut, the fabric of his gloves wrinkled as it curved around his mask.
He straightened up with effort, looking as if he were fighting a war inside his own skull, and pointed a shaky finger toward the horizon where the jagged spires of En’s Castle pierced the sky. He told you that the party was over and that your friends were being held in that fortress.
"You're pretty fun for a human," he said, and you could almost imagine him managing one last, weak smirk. "Don't get killed."
Before you could properly thank him or ask to see him again, you blinked, and he was gone—evaporated into the shadows of the alley as if he had never been there.
As you began the long trek toward the castle, your mind raced. There was something about the way he moved, his reckless kindness, and his easy laughter that felt hauntingly familiar. You clutched your medical bag tight, the realization hitting you that he reminded you exactly of Caiman, even if the logistics made no sense.
You’d have to let the doctor and Nikaido know of your suspicions.

a/n: what can i say. I'm greedy and like big juicy men.
warnings: gets a lil sleezy at the end.
Being one of the few female sorcerers in South Zagan Magical Training School it brought bullying. The only reason you didn’t get killed or heavily beat was from actually using magic. The only consequence that came from it was scars. Yeah bitting the tips of your fingers isn’t the best.
Class was never exciting. The teacher was always… hard on other students. Never really picked on you because he said, “You have potential. The others are weak.” Then he joined, Aikawa. Quiet, lazy, and incredibly arrogant.
Luckily for you he sat right next to you. “What are you looking at?” He hissed out almost pissed off. “...nothing.” You looked away and just minded your own business.
Aikawa. Wasn’t as bad as you thought he was. He protected people… even if he wanted a payment. He was like the opposite of a bully, beat people who attacked the weak. You kinda admired him for that. After class before everyone left, before Aikawa left you turned towards him. “Aikawa… do you wanna like. Get lunch?” It was quiet for a minute. “You asking me on a date?” A little baffled you shook your head. “Uh.. No.?.”
Aikawa got up in your face and laughed. “I’m joking. I could never give up an offer for food.” Under your crappy mask, your face was flushed. No one has talked to you like that. Well, at least someone who wasn’t a totally horrible person.
Once you and Aikawa made it to a local shop, you were quickly sat down at a table.He didn’t make much conversation, neither did you. Once the food came out you hung up your mask. Aikawa didn’t. “I’m surprised.” You looked up with him, well what you thought was him looking straight at you. “About what?.. About my mask or because I’m a girl.” He muttered something under his breath. “How easily you can take your mask off.” “What.. you shy or something?” You questioned him while pointing at him.
“I wouldn’t expect such a big guy to be shy..” You teased. “I’m not shy.” He took his mask off and hung it up. Fixing his hat, he looked at you. It nearly sent a little flutter in your stomach, but you payed attention to your food. “What you get tired of looking at me already.” He chuckled straight from his chest. “Just. Eat your food Aikawa..” You spoke with your mouth stuffed.
Only half way done with your food, Aikawa was already done. “So why’d you start going to School?” Aikawa asked. “I didn’t have enough nicks to get the surgery done and needed to work on my magic skills.” By the look on Aikawa’s face it didn’t seem like he believed you. You finished up, Aikawa took one of your hands and looked at it closely. “Is that why your fingertips look like this?”

“... Yeah.” Nodding as he let go of your hand. He put his mask back on and didn’t say much after that. You put your mask back on and left money at the table.
Every wednesday was like a schedule. You’d ask Aikawa if he wanted to get food, he’d say yes and with minimal talking you would share something and sometimes he would too. “So Aikawa.. Are you and her together or what?” You overheard whispering from one of the other classmates. Aikawa looked back at them and was too quiet for you to hear what he said.
The day was normal, well. Almost. There was a new student. Risu, a member of the cross-eyes and a cute one at that. The others were already talking about him, but specifically about those damn tattoos. You had to ask him about it. “Aikawa.. Should we invite new guy to lunch? I have to ask him about the crosses.” You whispered as you leaned towards his desk. He just shrugged. “I don’t mind it, you’re the one who pays for food anyways.”
After Aikawa scared off the teacher for beating on one of the weaker students. You walked over to Risu’s desk. “Hey Risu, I was wondering if you wanted to get some lunch with me and Aikawa.” He looked up at you like a cat. “Sure. but. I don’t have much money, I’m kinda broke…” “Thats fine. I can pay for you and no worries about paying me back.” You smiled, and so did he.
The second you and the two of them sat down, you started asking. “I’ve got to ask. When did you join the cross-eyes.. I’m just curious, nothing against you.” Risu looked up at you a little surprised that you would ask that. “Well. I haven’t been with them for long. I only joined a bit ago.” He was a little shy about it and his pale skin exposed his blush. Aikawa was just quiet, you assumed that he was just hungry.
Food came out, Aikawa took his mask off and you followed. Risu was shocked, like most. “Wait… You’re a CHICK-!” He pointed in shock. “What never seen one before?” Aikawa laughed as he looked at Risu in his shock. “Yes. Why is that so surprising.” It almost reminded you how Aikawa first saw you.
“..I mean. I just. Wait so then are you two- like.. A thing?” You could see him trying to connect dots that aren’t even there. “No-” “Nah” You and Aikawa tried to talk at the same exact time. “We aren’t a thing we are just friends.” Clarifying, you shook your head. Risu gave both you and Aikawa a stink eye but just ignored it.
After waiting for a couple of minutes just talking to the two guys it wasn’t so bad. Risu was very talkative with Aikawa and you could tell they would be fast friends. “So why’d you start going to School?” Risu asked aimlessly and both you and Aikawa were confused. “You.” He pointed. “Oh. Ah well I wanted to practice my magic, and keep myself occupied till I have enough money for the smoke duct procedure.” “Wait so you can actually use magic?” He looked curious but for your sake too curious. You barely even knew about your own magic.
You nodded slightly but the conversation died down quickly. Like normal… plus Risu. You and the two ate and went off.
Since Risu accepted your offer for lunch he joined you and Aikawa as if he was there from the beginning. Even him and Aikawa hung out more by themselves, which you didn’t mind at all. During one of the lunches, Risu brought something up. “Hey maybe we should switch things up you guys. We gotta hangout at someone’s place.” You were mid bite when he asked the question. “I mean, sound like a good idea. But whos place cause mine isn’t… great.” Aikawa responded with some hint of embarrassment.
So now it was stuck between you and Risu. “I mean. I got a small apartment..” “So do i.” Okay now it was awkward. “How about we flip a coin? Whoever's place it is, the other two will get food and drinks.” Aikawa quickly solved the problem. You picked tails, Risu had heads. Aikawa flipped the coin and it landed on… Tails.
“Well that settles it.” You looked at the coin. “So when we doing this? Cause I can totally do Friday.” You finished up your food and the plans were made in just minutes.
Friday came quicker than you thought you got a bit nervous but they were your friends. Nothing could happen at least you hope so. The day went quick but it was time for them to come already, you cleaned most of the apartment but it still felt dirty. But it was whatever now since they were both at your door. The nerves hit you like a bus.
You opened the door. “Hope you didn’t start eating without us!” Aikawa gave a stupid smile as he held up snacks and Risu with drinks. “Obviously not I rarely have this much food in my place… especially since it’s just lil old me.” “Wait so you’re seriously a lonely loser!?” Risu’s eyes got nearly as big as his head.
“Ouch. Harsh much?” That definitely hit hard, but he wasn’t wrong. You were kinda a loser, barely had friends and lived in a lousy apartment. The two got comfortable in the small space quick, almost too quick for your comfort. But you just needed to appreciate that they even showed up.
Almost two hours passed and a lot of snacking and cooking on your small burner. Everyone was stuffed and maybe a little bit buzzed. “So should we play a stupid game together?” Aikawa suggested as he was on his 4th beer. “Mhm- Like truth or dare?” Risu nearly choked on his beer but he luckily survived. “You guys actually want to play shit like that…?” The two had second thoughts and both got sour looks on their faces. “Nevermind that actually corny.” Aikawa laughed.
He seemed so relaxed, almost making you envy him. “Is it hot in here?” You asked the two of them, it wasn’t one of those weird questions. There were now two extra people in your apartment, two HUGE people. “Now that you mention it.. Kinda yeah it’s a little warm.” Risu nodded as he looked up into the air acting like he could see the temperature of the air.
You got up to open up the only window in the room but you could feel both of their eyes burning holes in your back. Turning back towards them they both had a weird look on their faces. Almost as if they communicated in silence. “Whats up? You both look like you have something to say.” Okay your nerves came back, and fast. “Nothing wrong… just uh. Don’t worry about it alright?” Aikawa shook his head with a little smug smirk that you could barely point out.
“Aikawa just ask her don’t keep them in the dark!” Risu nervously laughed as he looked redder than En’s hair. “Why don’t you tell her since you don’t want to shut your mouth.” He barked back, obviously in playful manner but you were left in the dark. “What are you two talking about?” Your heart was literally going to jump out of your chest. “Are you into anyone at the moment?”
You looked at them both. “Uhm. Kinda. Why” “Is it either of us?” Aikawa straight up asked, he had a look on his face as if he was up to something. Risu on the other hand looked like he was going to jump out the window. With a soft huff and looking away from the two, you looked back up to glance at the two. “Maybe. Why does it matter… Why are you two being so weird.”

- So, to make sure you’re really not dead, Kai may give you a small nudge. Though if you don’t move, that’s when Kai starts to get slightly more concerned.
- But when he takes your heart rate for a pulse, the male seems annoyed that you have a regular one. The male is going to punch you right then and there.
- Of course, that wakes you up.
- “Now I have to start over. Thank you, abductor.”
- “I thought you died.”
- “It’s Magic, bitch. Leave me alone.”
- Kaiman -
• Shit, my guy is panicking. He even gets Nikaido in on this.
- Kaiman does almost everything. From nudging, to shaking you, to even roughly nudging.
- When you don’t wake up, he’s starting to wail.
- “Nikaido, they’re not waking up!”
- “What’s their Magic, Kaiman?”
- “Oh… We’ll leave them alone then.”
- Oh, your dumb lizard man.

• He’s probably just thinking that you fell asleep during class.
- He and Risu are kind of just lounging around in class. They don’t seem to be concerned until the bell rings, and you didn’t wake up.
- So here they are, kind of just trying to see what they can do. They’re kind of trying to mess with you and stuff to see if you wake up. But when you don’t, that’s when they start to get worried.
- “Dude, don’t hit them like that.”
- “Risu, they’re not waking up. What do you expect me to do-?”
- “I don’t know-“
- They’re so fucking lost on what to do. They forgot about the Magic you have.

I just hit 250 likes, holy shit I really appreciate everyone liking my work. I know I'm not the most... consistent writer on here but I wanted to kinda... Celebrate in a way?
