Miyawaki Sakura in AiKaBu
Do you have a post explaining the AiKaBu game? I don't understand how it works and what your goals is
I don’t have any sort of walkthrough or guide, and I myself am still coming to grips with the game’s mechanics, but basically, it’s a stock-market simulator, with each member representing a listed ‘company’ on the in-game stock exchange. At this point in time, it’s only AKB48 and Senbatsu-level sister-group members (Sashihara, Jurina, Yamamoto, Suda), but there are plans to include all other sister group members eventually. Here’s a very basic rundown of what I understand about the game so far.
Basic MechanicsPlayers are given a some in-game money to start off, and just like on the real-life stock market, players can buy and sell stocks from various companies with that sum of money. This is done over the course of the day, with prices being determined real-time by the selling and buying behaviours of the entire player base. Trading ‘opens’ in the morning, and ‘closes’ at night at 2400hrs JST (in reality an convenient excuse for the developers to run daily server maintenance). In-game charts and graphs are available to give you up-to-date information on the market forces at play. There’s even a little ticker-tape that runs continuously, providing up-to-date news about 48G’s real-world activities to help influence market forces, mimicking those digital banners you see at stock exchanges and financial districts.
One thing to note is that buying stocks isn’t instantaneous: just like in the real world, you place an order with your maximum buying price (per stock), and have to wait for someone to sell them to you - this is done by the app itself matching your order to shares being sold by another player.
In-game CurrencyIn-game currency comes in two forms: YL and Diamonds, with Diamonds being the one you can purchase with real-world money in microtransactions. Both can be used to purchase stocks, but only Diamonds can be used to expand your stock limit (no. of total stocks you can own) and pay for premium trading plans (basically a premium subscription that gives you certain bonuses like increased income from selling or lowered buying fees).
ObjectivesThe primary objective, as with the real stock exchange, is to make in-game money off your stocks. Buy stocks, wait for them to increase in value, and then sell them off for profit. Or, you can just hold on to them to increase your overall capital over time. These are used to rank players on leaderboards that are updated daily.
It is with this currency that you can fulfill what I consider to be the secondary objective: collecting photocards/namecards of members. These are unlocked through completing challenges (e.g. buy X stocks from member Y’s company), or by paying in-game money to unlock cards at random.

FUKUOKA SEINA: 1st Place in the AiKaBu Senbatsu - 749,134,660,504 YL
As the highest ranking member of the AiKaBu Senbatsu, Fukuoka Seina will center a song and an MV (in the next single?)
So I’ve been playing the AKB48 stock market simulator since launch, and boy, am I glad I secured those Mayu and Jurina stocks on day one.
Christ, those things are making me more than ten times the in-game moolah than all my other investments (Murayama, Takeuchi, Takita, Yokoyama) combined.
