“Moving on is not the same as moving forward.” Well, seems a certain robot was listening, too.
( @universe-messiah //plotted starter )
As Aigis stood in front of the bookstore, she thought about two things: what she was going to do once she went in, and the lingering question of what that reading is and why would it be there, of all places. Not an unfamiliar reading to her, by all means, but one that she hadn’t picked up on in years. The vague familiarity tugged at her mind, but she couldn’t quite place it. All she knew was that it wasn’t from a human or shadow.
She sighed after a few moments. Waiting out here wasn’t going to answer those questions, and it’d be better for her to just go in instead of thinking about what to do. Even if it meant completely faking interest in a book to (hopefully) throw off suspicion. Aigis very much doubted the reading’s source wanted to cause harm, but just in case.
It could’ve just been Elizabeth, after all.
Inside, Aigis took to the book shelves. She ran a hand along the spines of the books, the titles and covers merely serving as visual noise. There was no mistake that the reading’s source was close-by. She grabbed a book at random and moved towards the front desk. “Excuse me, ho-” Blue eyes widened once she saw the employee. Blue hair, silver eyes. The very same face she saw for the last time years ago.
Was it really him?
