Jade my beloved come home please, me and your brother miss you

"Beloved..?" His smooth voice and his soft breath caresses the curve of your ear. He chuckles as you spring away in surprise, the glitter in his eyes show how your terror only serves to bring him amusement. "For you, to refer to me as such..." he trails off as he gently tips his head to one side. His earrings wink and giggle from that slight movement. "I must be very important to you." As you stutter at his words, his smile only widens--and you get a peek at something sharp behind soft lips.

"I do apologize. I didn't hear your earlier call, my dearest." He cocks his head the other way, that familiar pleasant smile unfurling on the curves of his mouth.

Your left hand was laced with his as you both walked into the cool, event planner office. You both approached the reception—light on your feet, completely in bliss for what you were both here for.

Your wedding.

“Hi. Welcome to Haven!” The young woman with hair dip dyed in turquoise. She looked at both of you with a cheerful smile on her face. “What can I help you with today?”

“We have an appointment.” Your partner said, his eyes met yours—and you blushed prettily.

“Of course sir! What are your names?” After you give them, she nodded—her hand clasped together in delight.

“Oh yes! Congratulations on your engagement...!" She fiddled nervously, her eyes darted down onto your left hand where a ring sparkled. There's a glitter of dreamy awe in her eyes before she looked back up at you in embarrassment. "Sorry let me look at your appointment..." Her eyes flickered away and you hear quick taps on a keyboard...

"Oh, what luck! It seems Ver set me up as your wedding coordinator.. Let me just call on someone to replace me here at the reception and...” She busied herself with something else. You and your fiancé shared an amused glance before the coordinator cleared her throat. You turned back to her, only to see that she was in a deep bow. She then glanced back up at you with a brilliant grin.

“...Ah? What are you doing out here?... and why are you crying?” 

When you looked up, you noticed that Jamil was moving towards you. He carried himself with a certain grace that you figured was probably because of his love for dancing. Once he stopped right before you, he inclined his head in a gesture for you to speak. As you told him your problem, his calm expression shifted to one of concern by the slightest furrow of his brow. 

“I don’t really understand...?” He asked, but when you started to sniffle again, he twitched nervously. “That is...” he cleared his throat, and turned his eyes away from you. You’re a little stunned to see the lightest dust of red that rose to his cheeks. “I’m here right now...” His hand instinctively raised for a hoodie that wasn’t there, and he faltered briefly in his movement. That’s when he brought his hand to cup your face--and you can feel the way his hand trembled slightly at his own actions. 

He finally turned to you--deep dark eyes more honest than usual, as they conveyed his affections for you. 

Malleus’s eyes widened as he stared at you—stunned at your honest declaration of your affection.

“You...” he stuttered and paused, as he studied you with his spell binding viridescent eyes. You watched him swallow—there was a nervous air around the dragon fae—a type of feeling you’d normally associate with a school girl confessing to their crush. He approached you, gait ever graceful. He pursed his dark lips, as he leaned closer to you—peering into your eyes to see if you were just playing with his heart.

“To think that someone like you—mortal and magicless—” he paused at the thought. “No... nothing about you is magicless—you are magic in itself...”

When you reaffirm how you feel—his eyes grew incredibly tender before he finally pressed his forehead against yours as his eyes slipped shut.

“If there is a higher power out there... please let this moment last forever” he prayed, before his eyes fluttered open again. Your breath taken by the depth of love and adoration in those eyes. He’s looking at you in a way that nobody has ever done before. He’s looking at you as if you are the sun—the reason he must get up in the day. He’s looking at you like you’re the light in a dark world—as if you’d never lead him astray. He’s looking at you as if you are hope incarnate—like you’re the only reason left worth living for. He reached forward to cup your face in the palm of his hands—and you’re more than aware of the way his hands shake as he touches you. As if he couldn’t bare putting any pressure on you lest you dissipate into the wind like a long lost dream.

He whispered his response—
