for essen and aiden i want (as i’ve said before like 5 minutes ago) to make sure they’re not seen as the typical twin duo who are either exactly the same or the two opposite tropes, the “”pretty one”” and the “”nerdy one”” or whatever other twin tropes there are
essen and aiden don’t depend on each other. sure, they’re twin sisters, and essen is the one to do aiden’s big braid most of the time bc she can’t reach it as well, but they don’t necessarily need each other. also for physical differences, aiden has a birthmark under her left eye, essen is a little bit taller, and aiden has a bit more muscle on her
heya that drawing i just did, those are estelle’s twin sisters Essen and Aiden. the floaty stuff is just what i’ve been wanting to draw them as for a while, and i wanted to distinguish that although i drew them together they’re two diff people, hence the different features (eyelashes going in different directions, different face paint and hair, Aiden has the birthmark under her eye, etc.) and the dotted line down the middle. on the other (floaty) hand, i could’ve drawn them as literally separate bc i had a sketch for that drawing too, but i started doing a serious sketch for that one first and now it’s suddenly 9pm
