because I am trans and forever alone and I'm not going anywhere with my knowledge suspicion who is gay. I know you don't usually start to chat with strangers anyway but every gay man I see somewhere reminds me of how limited I am because of my body

Whenever I’ve witness anything like this, it’s almost always tied in with anti-medicine rhetoric, which quite frankly can get pretty disturbing.

especially on tumblr, i've noticed a really strong anti-therapy undercurrent. i understand how it works--people buy into being shamed for having a problem, so they want to avoid all association with people who have those problems. but it's nasty and harmful because it just propagates "haha i'm not like THOSE people" instead of "there's nothing wrong with having problems and getting help is perfectly normal and a thing you are entitled to"
