AI “interviews” can go fuck themselves
THIS IS A REMINDER for me to never again apply and go through AI interviews for that specific and any other company. FUCK OFF seriously. I already suspected they were using me to train their fucking AI model but now Im 1000000% sure and feel absurdly used. I like AI when used well, but doing this to job candidates is fucking disrespectful and a joke. Fuck.
AI Interviews: The Next Big Thing in 2024
It is not a surprise in today’s fast world where anything can happen that AI interviews are turning heads when it comes to the recruitment industry. As companies look to simplify their hiring processes and find the best candidates quickly, AI interviews have become a real game changer. This blog post delves into why AI interviews are set to be the latest fad in 2024, potentially changing how organizations carry out their interview process.
The Rise of AI Interviews
AI interviews involve the use of artificial intelligence technology to interview and evaluate candidate applicants. Traditionally, interviews are being done face-to-face or over the phone but with technological advancement, AI-powered interview platforms have become popular. Such platforms use natural language processing (NLP), machine learning, and computer vision to assess candidates’ capabilities, skills, and personality traits, as well as their overall compatibility with the role. Let us go through why AI interviewing is the next big thing:
One-Way Video Interviews
Forms of AI interviews, such as one-way video interviews are very popular both for employers and candidates. In this mode, the candidates use video interview software to answer pre-prepared questions. Employers may then listen to these recordings at will, which increases the convenience and efficiency of recruitment.
Enhanced Candidate Experience
AI interviews help improve the candidate experience significantly. With interview as a service platform, the candidates can perform interviews from home without incurring travel costs and logistics hassles. These platforms often come with a very intuitive interface, allowing candidates to navigate through the interview process without much difficulty. AI technology can also offer personalized feedback and recommendations to candidates so that they know what their strengths are and where there is a need for improvement.
Eliminating Bias
One of the major benefits associated with AI interviews is that they help minimize bias during recruitment. Unconscious bias may skew traditional interviews and affect the evaluation of candidates unfairly. AI-based platforms, however, use objective criteria and algorithms to score candidates, thereby minimizing prejudice. Candidates are evaluated more equitably and fairly using AI interviews because they focus on skills, qualifications, and performance.
Scalability and Efficiency
AI interviews offer scalability and efficiency to companies, especially those that undertake massive hiring exercises. Traditional interviews can be tedious and expensive in terms of time and resources. AI-powered platforms can evaluate a multitude of candidates at the same time, helping recruiters identify qualified individuals faster.
Data-Driven Decision Making
AI platforms can interpret candidates’ responses, facial expressions, tone of voice, and language patterns with the help of NLP and sentiment analysis. This data helps to understand the soft skills, communication abilities, and cultural fit of potential candidates much better. Recruiters can use such information to make informed decisions and have more successful hires.

Final Thoughts
AI interviews are set to rise in 2024 as the hottest thing in recruitment. The application of AI-enabled interviewing platforms, including one-way video interviews, has multiple benefits, including improved candidate experience, elimination bias, scalability, and data-backed decisions. By adopting AI interviews, companies can simplify their hiring processes and reduce the use of time and resources to find the best candidates for a team.

Instead of the practice of straight-up never contacting people who interviewed for internships and job apps, it should be standard practice for companies to have a program scan names and emails in the database of who applied for what position, then sending out automated rejection emails after they picked the person or people who passed instead of completely ghosting them and having the person wait and eventually assume they didn’t get the job
