My dad was saying I need more friends cuz I talk to my cats like humans, and how well of a bond I have tmwith both of them. Syrup specifically
And it's like, father, for the last 7 months, only 11 of those days I have spent away from this cat.
I have been the only one to feed her, love on her, talk to her, play with her, since she was 3 weeks old, I don't even know if she REMEMBERS a time where she wasn't under my care
When we first got her, she latched onto me, 2 days in she was following me around the house, day one, and she was crying on the floor to be put on my bed. She refused to sleep anywhere that wasn't near me for almost all of that time
The kind of bond you form with a cat in that time, is, wildly different from one you form with a dog.
A cat is cheeky, and their personalities has very subtle differences, and you have to look really closely at both their sounds, and their body language, and their easily jealous no matter the breed, and they pick up the weirdest little quirks that no animal should ever have, and you will never truly understand a cat unless it is yours
The bond I personally form with cats, is so wildly different then I've had with dogs. I've always had much closer bonds with cats, and when you spend. So much time with a cat, a little over half a year, that cat becomes your best friend.
You watch her get older, and cling to you all the same, watch her get picky with food and treats, watch as she throws a fit in her own sort of way by never coming to her name when mad, and refusing to sleep with you, watches as she purrs while watching you eat, watches as she rolls over and starts to purr, knowing you'll pet her stomach, you argue with her as you feed her cuz she keeps spinning the chair, you watches as she develops bad habits, and you can tell she thinks it's funny, you laugh at her, tell her she's not gonna like it when she tries to shove her head down a chip bag, then when you give her one, you laugh as she won't even lick it, you watch as she gets obsessed with licking fruit without actually ever eating it, you watch as for some reason she doesn't like catnip, but goes nuts over glitter, you watch as she does, all these weird little things with you, sits on your shoulders as her favorite place, sniffs everything you go to drink to make sure it's safe, tries to drink coffee, attempts to nurse off your fingers, can't use her claws right, let's you comb her cuz she keeps on leaving parts of her furr matted. You watch ad she does all these weird little things. Knowing. No one else will ever seen her do that. You watch her. Knowing you'll be the only one to ever see it happen
She sees you at your lowest, she gets excited to go places with you, she can tell the slightest shift in your behavior, she knows like a sixth sense if your in pain, right when you start getting tired she curls up with you, and you have to remember. You know her, and she knows you
And weather you notice or not, you also show her things you'd never show others
