One fictional character you wish you were more like? Both personality and looks.
Hmmm. It would be easy for me to say Natasha because hello, gorgeous lady. But I don't need to be any more withdrawn in real life, haha. So I'm going to say Evie from The Mummy. She's lovely, yes, but she's also brilliant and clever and brave, and she always has a sunny outlook. I could use that in my life.
Best summer memory?
A couple of years ago my then-fiancé (now-husband) and I spent six weeks in Hawaii (two weeks each on the Big Island, Oahu, and Maui), and it was awesome. He's originally from Hawaii (but moved to SoCal when he was... five years old? I think), so it was really cool to have a semi-local view of the islands. And I got to see an active volcano. Dudes, you don't even know how much I love volcanoes, so that was a dream come true for me.
Me with volcano. It actually was pretty cold on Kilauea after sunset. It seems counterintuitive, since the islands are tropical, but going up above 4000 feet still means cold. I had to bum a jacket from my guy's auntie for this trip and our trip up Mauna Kea at sunset.
Which fandom do you dislike which “everyone” else seems to like?
Hmm. Most of the time if I'm not into a fandom, it's just not on my radar, haha. I only have so much attention span to work with, so if I dislike something, I'll ignore it. But it seems like tumblr is all over Teen Wolf, and that just doesn't appeal to me at all. Heck, I didn't like teen shows when I was a teenager, so I'm predisposed to not care for it.
Your first celebrity crush? What did you see him/her in to make you become a fan?
Oh gosh, I've been a fickle fangirl my whole life. The first was probably Harrison Ford because I was raised on Star Wars and Indiana Jones. The first one where my hormones came into play was Val Kilmer, because holy crap, did you see him as Madmartigan in Willow? Unf. (Now his face looks like a catcher's mitt and he's a little creepy, but still. Those were the glory days.)
One word to describe your style? Why?
Comfortable, haha. I've been leaning more in the stylish direction lately, but you'll have to pry my jeans and nerdy t-shirts out of my cold, dead hands. I love to look cute, but I also hate being uncomfortable and will only do it for brief periods of time.

I still hold onto LiveJournal but that's more out of habit and a refusal to let go of a site that ate up over ten years of my online life, haha. Polyvore is a lot of fun, and that's part of what's made me get more into fashion lately. Archive of Our Own is my fanfic home now (used to be LJ). Looove it. Pandora is always great, and man, my chillout/downtempo station is awesome. And of course, there's Tumblr. I try to explain to my husband why I'm so addicted to this site, but I can't. It's just... awesome stuff and great people and I love it.
