Headcanons- Jason and Amelia
((I know you didnât send me a head-canon ask, but I wanted to do one for you too! :D ))
1) Jason left Hydra cold turkey for Amelia was insanely difficult for him. On top of the internal stress of essentially leaving family (toxic, disgusting, dysfunctional and fucked but offered him purpose.) It took all of the âblack assetsâ he had with them and others they could find. So when Jason ended up with Amelia, he didnât have anywhere near the kind of money he had. Millions to 100K or so. And it went fast once they had kids. So he took extra jobs contracting or anything around town he could get his hands on. And despite Ameliaâs protests, He ALWAYS makes sure to buy the best ((After of course finding the differences)) but he makes sure he gets the best version of whatever his family loves. So expensive tea for Amelia, and exotic blends. He never tells her where he gets it or lies by saying he grows it in the small green house. For kimmy he tries not to spoil her rotten but he doesnât hesitate to go big when itâs appropriate. Even for Jaeger, their introverted son he gets him tools to explore on his own. 2) Jason has a lot of hobbies and talents heâs had to learn or use in his career and life. He says heâs had to when he goes undercover. Part of that is true, it also is because he uses them to focus his mind away from himself and his life. Despite the happiness sheâs brought him, his mind can quickly go to some dark places. Aside from his mania and need for escape, he picks up and sticks with things, for example playing guitar. He doesnât play or sing while anyone his home. There has been one time he was almost caught but he pinned it on playing the record player too loudly through their speakers. He hasnât played for her yet but would if she ever caught him and pleaded even though he has sang once or twice for her. 3) Jason actually uses contacts to help find Joshua when he learns heâs missing. He doesnât tell her heâs doing it and has paid a lot to do so but he wants to reunite them so she can have some closure and happiness, to fill that void he sees. ((would like to RP Jason finding him and reuniting them.)) He does it because he couldnât imagine if his sister was dead/missing when he was younger. 4) He is still afraid of her knowing everything about him. Even now heâs kept her at a distance despite how close and in love they are. In his mind he has done to much, sinned too much to be forgiven, not that he wanted to be anyway. However, to him he says this, âI donâ deserve such a beautiful light likes you.â Or will say, âYer too good fer shit likes me.â He may say this in a joking tone but he means every word against himself. Which is one of the reasons why he was OK with pushing her away. Or why he doesnât tell her certain things. He knowâs heâs truly terrifying, and it eats away at him that heâs like a monster holding a beautiful canary hostage. Even though Amelia would never let him say that and get away with it. 5) (to end on a high note) Jason secretly goes to Brazil and helps orphanages there. Making sure heâd clear the streets of gangs and gives them money to rebuild. He was always good with kids but never saw it himself until Amelia and him had children. Before that in Shield there were signs but they happened in isolated incidents that they were legends during the time they worked together. Of Jason taking care of agents kids in daycare, or Jason visiting the kids and making jokes since he has to go by that wing. He called himself âThe wookieâ due to his long hair and beard. Amelia once found out and gave him a wookie mug and a few stationary supplies with Wookie designs on them as a joke/ letting him know she knew. They never spoke about it after that. More so being a pleasant memory and an annoying remind to Jason to be more careful.
OOC: The only thing Iâm gonna edit here is the tea thing. Amelia is a coffee drinker by nature. She drinks tea when sheâs pregnant though (since it is supposed to be better for the baby). However, sheâs not stupid. She knows Jason is up to some shady shit to help provide for the family. Itâs after Jason has that one close call, she sits him down and bluntly tells him to knock it off, because itâs not just the two of them anymore--she doesnât want the kids without their father.
