Is there a way to average out a shoreline in like...
Ok I gotta formulate this.
Every piece of land has four points, each being the most northwest, northeast, southwest and southeast. The shore lines and borders between those four points are to be treated as like... A graph π function.
Now, if we were to separate the country into different other polygons, say a triangle (northwest, northeast and south tips), and shuffle the arrangement of those lines...
Like, a country is a shape. We get that shape and force-break it into a set amount of graph function "sides". Then we put them like... ππππ this, all in one orientation. We can deform them to fit the country's border texture onto a circle for example.
Idk if I'm making sense. It's hard to articulate from phone with no way of editing images for illustration.
