I really like the Mob Psycho age swap AU so I decided to do my lame take on it.
I don’t know if there’s an ‘official’ backstory for this AU my take would be something like: Without Reigen around Mob might have a harder time coming to terms with his powers. I guess it would take him longer and he’d be more worried about showing his emotions making him more stoic. He still comes across Dimple who is like an anti role model for him to become a decent person lol but they still get along.
Mob probably does exorcisms for free because he just doesn’t like people being bothered by evil spirits and little entrepreneurial Reigan catches wind of it and wants to make it a business. He claims he has latent psychic abilities and wants Mob to be his teacher.
