two kinds of users on tumblr dot com lmaooo but i think i can bridge the gap here. fic like maybe rick did handpick will for his special prodigy son. he’s picked out mack’s friends before (jay perron, anybody?) but will is different. will is gonna be special. and, as always, rick is right! will IS special, and rick could tell, and so can mack. rick has never seen mack like anybody as much as he likes will. and then oh! turns out mack likes will in a slightly different way than rick anticipated. or maybe that’s not right: mack likes will in all the ways rick planned, and one more. natural extension. mack’s winger. mack’s friend. always there for mack, on and off the ice. by his side and under his body. only, rick didn’t plan for this. uncharted territory. didn’t vet will as a partner, a lover; a sexual release.
so, of course, rick has to test him out first. make sure will is good enough for rick’s precious baby boy. his magnum opus. and then when he does, it’s like. yeah, okay, will is good. so good. hot, wet little mouth. blue, blue eyes. sinful little waist and dimples on his cheek, his back, arching under him in the sheets all graceful and supple and pliant and never, ever says no. but he could be better. you can always get better. rick knows what mack likes; nobody knows his son better than him. rick can train will, make him perfect for mack. show him how to be good for mack. how to be the best. his son deserves the best. and if it’s a moving target — if every time they fuck rick comes up with something new for will to improve at, something else that mack would like, whether he knows it yet or not — well. will went through the program. he’s always been good for a stretch goal. usa hockey is do or die! will knows how to work for it. will wants to work for it. nothing in the world has ever been as worth working for as loving mack! and will has always been so very coachable
