I’ve heard so many good things about the Book Thief. I keep meaning to read it.
I have too, and with the movie coming out I really feel like I need to read it. Perhaps I shall. If you do read it you'll have to let me know how it is!
Okay so this is not a question about the craft of writing but rather a question about something I am writing about. Hopefully this is okay. Does anyone know, if a couple has life insurance policies and one of them dies, BUT the death is a result of the spouse's drunk driving, can that spouse (the driver) claim the life insurance policy on the deceased? I'm not even sure where to begin searching for this.
I think it would depend on whether or not the spouse was prosecuted. If they were charged with man slaughter I don't think they would get the money but it may go to a secondary benefactor.Â
I'm looking into it for you but it is difficult to work out, I honestly think you could probably play with the facts with this. From what I can see is the insurers investigate if the death is suspicious. So they could then decide not to pay out because the death is suspicious. But I think they probably would have to pay out but then again I'm not sure as I can't find enough information.Â
Anyone with any more information?
