He came to write the last chapter of this horrible book and be done with college memories. hiya everyone, iām jasmine! (and super late to the intro post game but itās all good). now that the whole holiday spiel is over iām so excited to rp with all of you!!! anyways, thereās a little bit about my mess of a girl kat under the cutĀ
so kat grew up in a trailer park with pretty loving parents but sees her childhood as incredibly unhappy and was always really angry because they were poor. andĀ since she can remember sheās wanted this perfect life thatās super lavish and filled with the kind of success that she can rub in other peopleās faces
near the end of high school she realized that she could manipulate people into giving her what she wanted
the moment she had the chance, she moved to nyc and has talked to her parents only a few times in the past couple of years
college and living, not to mention luxuries, cost a lot so she started working as a go go dancer in a club her freshman year of college and also dated a string of rich men who could afford her tastes
she prides herself so much on where she is in life because sheās fought for everything tooth and nail and is in no way ashamed of anything. but on the flip side thereās nothing that sheĀ hatesĀ more than being called a gold digger just because she feels that diminishes from what sheās achieved herself
since college, kat has quit her job at the club and now works as a secretary at cosmo, which sheās hoping leads to other positions and also doing a few modelling gigs on the side. within the next year or so, she has to decide which one sheās gonna set as her career path
her relationship with marcus is the longest lasting relationship sheās had and itās a chip that has fallen perfectly into place in her plan even if it was really unexpected
katās not a exactly a good person. she will put herself before literally anyone else and is obsessed with the image of the perfect life. if youāre not really interacting with that part of her life she can be fun and sweet but it can flip so quickly if she sees you as a threat for a second (also thereās so much pettiness within this girl)
she also has a little fun sometimes stirring the pot and walking away to just watch the drama unfold. which with this group, thereās so much opportunity!

So I didnāt write much into his early life in my app (like before high school or anything) but Iāll include it in this āJourney Thus Farā
Harrison lived in an average little home in the MidWest for most of his upbringing
he was a part of a middle class, average income family, with an older sister and brother, mother, and father
and while they all got along just fine, none of them were particularly close
like, the kids werenāt home most nights because they were hanging out with friends or at after school clubs and it was totally normal for them to eat dinner in separate rooms or in front of the television
they were all just very independent of one another
despite it all though, Harrison found it very hard to leave home to go away to college
he was (and still is) a total homebody and introvert, and changing his sorroundings was hard on him
heād been struggling with his depression for a while, so that was a factor too
but he pushed himself to do well his senior year so that he could get into NYU because, hey, that was his dream school and he wouldnāt let depression get in his way
plus, his boyfriend had made it in, so Harry would have to too, because.. young love and allĀ
but it was Harryās first boyfriend and he was very naive to the harsh reality that was their toxic relationship
because, while Harry loved the guy he was with, this guy was very emotionally and mentally abusive to Harry
and that kind of thing really stunted Harry without him even noticing
in college, he made up for the way his boyfriend treated him by drinking (lots of drinking...) and partying, doing drugs with strangers and his friends
his friends were what really helped him through it all
they pushed him to go to class and helped him study, and they helped him to see that he was in a bad relationship
so senior year, he got out of it, but still spent most of his final year in a haze because while the drinking and drugs helped him forget about his boyfriend, they also made his depression worse
then there was the stint with Will, his college roomate
when things went belly-up between the two of them, Harry realized he needed to turn his life around
he graduated, got his degree, and traveled around for nearly half a decade as an ASL translator
in his free time, he would write novels, and soon he published his first book
it was a huge hit and he had to quit his translating job in order to focus his time on a sequel
things were going really well for a while after that
he was successful and happy, off of drugs and three years sober
until he got a reminder of his past, which inspired him for the third book in his series
deriving his inspiration from that time really took a toll on his mental healthĀ
to the point where an eight month book tour was cut short to six after he nearly O.D.āed from a mix of alcohol and painkillers in a Manhattan hotel room
and even though it wasnāt on purpose, his publicist is making him attend therapy after that
(heās trying his best, but god knows itās hard)
everything is being kept very hush-hush from the public and his readers but Harrison knows that soon or later people will find out
heās hoping that Betsyās wedding will be just what he needs to snap him out of it though: being with his old friends, being a reminder of how he straightened himself out in the first place
like a fitting end to this road that college memories have put him on
because five months push him to now and he hasnāt written a single thing sinceĀ
