OMG, okay, the undykeification of Beca 'Effin Mitchell URKS me, like universal really said "look these gays have a point, that girl looks like a lesbian, we gotta change that" AND THEN DID.

I'm not anti femme for femme, let me be clear on that, and people discover their personal style in college so an argument can be made for that, but like???? Beca has BIG masc lesbian energy to me, like not the Sporty Spice variety, but the Alternative Wouldn't Be Out Of Place In Either A Hardware Store Or A MCR Concert variety. Beca is a grunge girl, you can't convince me otherwise, and while she's not hyper femme in any of the movies, and yeah okay blouse/pencil skirts for an internship is pRoFeSsIoNaL or whatever, Beca Mitchell to me is NOT a skirt girly, she's a ripped jeans and practical shoes girly and no-one will ever convince me otherwise.

On the topic of chickens, I'm not sure how much I've shared about Emily getting her pet chicken.

She goes through some bad stuff, ends up in a deep depression, and as she's getting better, her therapist advises her to consider getting a pet as part of the healing process. The plan is to get something small and managable, and to discuss it with her roommate Beca before she gets it. But she also has a soft spot for chickens due to some past relationships, and when she sees a baby chick up for adotion, she gets it impulsively with the necessary stuff to take care of it.

She's worried that Beca will be upset, but her roomie is instantly smitten with the baby. Beca becomes a mom for this chick as much as Emily is.

Awkward hands tried to fight something out of a pocket, and Chloe watched, amused, when slightly crumbled paper landed in front of her.

“Another one already?”

Beca’s smile didn’t quite reach her eyes. “I guess. Opinion?”

Curiously, Chloe unfolded it as Beca rambled about fonts she could use.
