i had no plans on attending the event at all but after looking at sns last minute and realizing he was coming, i had to go... my animator friend had the hand model too so she decided to tag along (thank you so much... if it weren't for you i would have combusted on the spot)

i've been wanting to get the hand model but kept putting it off... since they were selling it at the booth i thought this was 2 birds with 1 stone... not saying kagami takahiro is a bird but you get it

there were different timeslots for the meet and greet, and our first session had a small crowd of people. it wrapped up within the indicated timeframe of 45 minutes... i guess it's also coz people were still queuing to enter the hall. this year they're maintaining the crowd very well.

we were second in line and i felt like my insides were going to burst.

i was holding the hand model box + millennium memory anime guide book + my uchiwa and my letter which i later then stuffed into my pocket... the staff also noticed i was really nervous and kindly told me to breathe and calm down... thank you kind staff......

then came our turn! i went up and didn't wanted to waste anytime and just started talking

me: TAKAHIROSAN NICE TO MEET YOU I AM A BIG FAN!!!!!! kagami: ?!?! NIHONGO??!! JOUZU!! are you okay with speaking it? me: aahaaa yesfsjfsk (omg i got nihongo jouzu'd by takahiro kagami) *note: i wanna punch myself for not using his family name I MUST HAVE BEEN SO RUDE wTFFFF BRAIN)

then i went on about how i was a fan of yugioh as a kid and when i grew up got to appreciate animation more. we passed our things to him to sign and i said my friend here was an animator and she is really grateful for this hand model...

there was a staff beside him who was translating too, and the convo went something like this: my friend: i'm an animator but my hands aren't very nice to use for reference, so i'm thankful for this model translator: (translating and she used the word 醜い) kagami: ?! (looking at my friend's hands) no no! not 醜い! :) us: 😭😭😭🥹🥹🥹(exploding inside) we laughed... he was so nice and humble....

i passed him my letter and said i wrote it last night and threw all my thoughts inside and he was like "EH?! IN JAPANESE?" "ya.... sorry if the handwriting is bad" "not at all!! i'm very happy!!! thank you very much!!!" 🥹🥹🥹🥹

i thought we could only sign one item, but confirmed with the staff it could be multiple items... so i asked him to sign my anime guide book and when he took it he was like "wahh this is really nostalgic.." (it was released in 2016, back when takahashi kazuki was still alive. kagami was in charge of the cover and has an interview inside)

after that we asked for a photo coz i feel like if i don't do this, i might regret it... life is really short! i'm not a fan of getting my photo taken but since we're already here... you know.

the staff helped us a lot, thank you!!!!!

then we took a group photo once everyone had their items signed! it was a really memorable time and i'm so thankful!!!!!!

as takahashi kazuki sensei is not around anymore, kagami takahiro was the next person i wanted to give me thanks and appreciation for their hard work and passion for yugioh. i've been saved multiple times by it so i really wanted to show my appreciation.... i hope it went through!

anyway leaving this yami marik ARIeNAI..... at a bunch of really cute xiaoheis!!!!!!!!!!!!
