Birth Name: Jason Ray SwannNickname(s): Jay, Jace, Ray, SwansongAge: 34 (would be)DOB: April 19th, 1983POB: Queens, NYProfession: NYPD CopEye Color: BlueHair Color: BrownHeight: 6âČ3âłFamily: Mary Madeline Swann (mother: alive); Christian Dean Swann (father: alive); Catherine Marie Swann (younger sister: alive); John Jordan Swann (younger brother: alive); Isabelle Nicole Swann (young sister: alive); Tiresa Persephone Swann (wife: alive); Rhea Teodora Swann (daughter: alive)
Jason was born into a very devote Catholic family. He was the eldest of the 4 Swann children, a role he played exceptionally well. Always protecting and teaching his younger siblings, he was a leader in the making. He was an altar boy in church, then a youth group leader, and an Eagle Scout.
At a very young age, the boy showed an interest in justice. His favorite game to play was cops and robbers; Jason was always the cop. A good cop too. He loved to watch police shows and read crime books. He was always a man of honor, morals, and justice. Protecting people, defending the law, it was his calling. He could feel it in his bones, even as a child. Jason was destined for great things.
When it came to school, he was an excellent student. Always making honor roll, an outstanding member of the honor society. He spent time tutoring other students. After graduation, Jason joined the Police Academy. He graduated with marks of excellence. Then he joined the NYPD. His dreams were finally a reality.Â
Being a police officer was a difficult job, but it was one Jason enjoyed doing. For the most part, he was respected by the community. He was a role model, a devote Catholic, everything the church thought he would be. But he soon met someone that challenged his beliefs and showed him a different picture.Â
One of his fellow officers had dared him to enter one of the cityâs new age shops, Psychics Descended, and get a reading done. They had thought a creepy old cat lady was running the place. Needless to say, Jason had not anticipated the owner to be a blind woman in her early twenties. A beautiful young woman named Tiresa Ryann.
The man was highly skeptical, at first, which was only natural, given his background. However, after receiving a detailed reading and listening to the womanâs extensive spiritual knowledge, Jason was intrigued. He soon found himself entering Psychics Descended more and more frequently. He came to realize that he definitely wasnât coming to learn about his futureâŠ
Tiresa was everything his mother had taught him to avoid. She was magical, mysterious, and maybe a little dangerous. A woman talented with devious, âdevil-givenâ gifts. But he was inexplicably drawn to her. She was beautiful, skilled, and truly wonderful. Everything she did she was passionate about. Her love of her job matched his. Tiresa was everything he hadnât known he wanted.Â
It didnât take long for them to fall in love. Jason learned everything about the womanâs dark past. He knew what she was capable of, the things she had done years ago, what she was trained to do, but he loved her anyway. Tiresa was the love of his life. Nothing in her past changed that.Â
After 2 years of dating, the two soon married. Jasonâs parents didnât approve of his choice in wife. In fact, they practically disowned him as a result of their marriage. But Jason didnât care, he was happy. If they couldnât accept his wife, then he was better off without her. His siblings, however, could see that Tiresa was perfect for him. Their views may have differed, but they accepted her into their family.
Although his schedule was hectic, the two made it work. There was tension, at times, but it never lasted long. Tiresa understood how much his job meant to him; her job was just as important. They were perfect for each other, soulmates, even. And the two were both ecstatic when they little Rhea arrived in their lives. He had everything he ever wanted, his dream job, a wife and family. Jason was the happiest he had ever been in his life.Â
Unfortunately, his perfect life didnât last as long as he had hoped. Jason was killed one night, trying to apprehend a criminal while doing nightly rounds. His family, the community, and the entire department were devastated. They had not only lost a good cop, but also a great person.
Unbeknownst to everyone but Tiresa, Jasonâs physical presence was the only thing that died that night. After his death, his soul found its way home. Although Tiresa is the only one who can see him, while Rhea can sense his presence, the rest of the world thinks he is gone forever. But he wasnât ready to leave yet. So, until everything in his past has been resolved, Jason isnât going anywhere.
