kinda glad I reread the Manga before playing and watched the amime twice back in the day because that surely helps me navigate a bit around xD

(im still not far in the game because of other things i have to doo and also being dysfunctional af due to unmedicated ADHD)

so now story time,,,, i watched the anime once in JP with subs on sketchy sites after seeing memes about Nova looking like Ciel, I was very into kuroshitsuji back then. So I had to check out and i LOVED IT. So on a random day in town I spotted the DVDs in a store ..... with official german dub. So it was popular enough for an underground german anime publisher to grab it and hire voice actors and im glad grandma bought them for me. I was so surprised to see it out in the wild when not even cons had any of it... And in hindsight it STILL surprises me... The VAs are all not really popular ones except Feli's she made it in the german anime dub scene! happy for her. The dub isnt bad but its also not great HOWEVER Jolly's german VA put his entire pussy into his role and he sounds very sexy haha (or maybe because the VA is actually older and experienced just not popular or well known)...... its hard to get clips of it tho. I found one on tiktok

I know it got an eng dub on YouTube going on that made me cringe but generally I never teally watch eng dubs if the OG media isnt english language ((personal preference, I do watch ger dubs tho when im lazy) so I feel I have no say on that... I haven't even watched zls with eng dub yet despite Ricco Fajardo doing an amazing job on voicing Kotaro's insanity.

ok so back to the ger dub of Jolly

I love in JP Koji Yusa is speaking slow and low, I think this was something you cant really do in a german dub else it takes too long to finish a sentence,, it also has to fit with the movements of the characters speaking... I think you could do this in english but german words and sentences end up being rather long, so this whole thing sadly is lost. Sometimes normal pacing is still too long, i've seen it in ZLS dub. Thats just how it is sometimes.

But it got some type of charm I really dig and I dont know how to explain it well
