Hey everyone, I'm looking for ways to maybe make this blog more interactive. If anyone has any ideas of how we can make that happen, please send them in. I had a few contest kinds of ideas, nothing too serious, though. The thing I'm trying to go for is to build community, fun, and get more fills going.
A Few Ideas
Polls to see what the most popular prompt(s) are.
Something like word cap (250 words, 500 words, ect) dribble challenge where people can pick prompts, submit a dribble (That isn't necessarily a fill? More like a doodle, verus a painting?) by a deadline. They get posted, we make a poll to see which one is the most popular?
Do polls to see most common ships, kinks, ect.
We could do a thing where people pick a prompt that they like, but maybe they're not a writer, or they're not able to write it for whatever reason, but they have IDEAS! So folks could encourage, give ideas, scenarios, ect for prompts they'd really like to see filled.
Put up "bounties" where someone could offer to edit for a prompt they really want to see filled, or help with references. Maybe artists could offer to do fan art of prompts they want to see filled. Perhaps some folks could offer to "muse" for prompts they want to see filled (but for whatever reason can't fill it themselves) where they get connected to a writer interested in a prompt but maybe has no muse/ideas for it.
Discord Devil's Sacrament. Make a AEW Kink Meme server for anyone to join. Writers can connect with other writers, editors can be around, people can share tips, tricks, and trades. So on and so forth. Maybe there is a way to make the server somewhat anon?
More kind of contest type ideas lmao
First, I am hesitant to consider doing any contests this close to Kinktober as I do not want to distract or detract from that wonderful time of the year. Writers are buckling down for the deadlines on that already!
Another worry I have about doing any kind of contest is like... I do not want anyone to feel bad/come in last kind of thing. Fic writers, as one myself, work so hard for FREE and FUN. So the idea of doing a contest kind makes me worry about how that would affect people's self-esteem/motivation/feelings. Obviously it's all in good fun, but we are making art here, and it'd really suck to hurt someone's feelings (Like imagine if I came last in a death riders kink smut contest, I would be shook lmao).
