Let me just drop some lore art of my universeâs Aether real quick (and a little rough scene Iâve written thatâs just been sitting in my docs for a bit. Iâm not getting to that chapter for *awhile*, so I figure itâs fiinnneee).
Anyhow, Doodles and Drabble under the cut đ:
These doodles/unfinished drawings are mostly just DB+HB teenage & newly immortal adult tomfoolery. Jeb got the more serious art here (ft. kiddo Brine).
This isnât edited, but hereâs the Drabble:

Dinnerbone flopped into his bed with a moan. His symptoms had been getting worse lately. Herobrine couldâve seen that even without his roommateâs constant complaining; he didnât blame him for it either. After all, the apothecary couldnât do a thing for the poor guy; their potions and apples had done nothing to ease his pain. Herobrine watched quietly from over his book as the older boy resumed his usual ritual. DB leaned over the small bed, dangling his head upside down, as he did everyday.
â You know, I swear Iâm going to find Notch and have him fix this,â Dinnerbone groaned out. âHeâll come down here soon enough.â Dark purple eyes fell upon him as he spoke. Herobrine knew why. The gods- no, Notch, had taken an interest in Herobrine for Aether knows why. He had been adopted into the royal family (although he chose to ignore that more often than not). Herobrine closed his book rather forcefully with a huff.
âI keep telling you, thatâs an awful idea,â he growled. Theyâd had the argument over and over again. He was sick of it. DB rolled his eyes, as per usual when the topic arose.
âCâmon Hero, I keep telling you you mustâve misunderstood.â And there it was, the sympathetic voice that he was beginning to seriously hate. The one his friend used whenever they discussed what Herobrine had witnessed in the back courtyard.
âDonât câmon Hero me.â He found himself clenching the blanket beneath him. âI know what I saw!â
âWe are the precious Aether youth. Notch wouldnât command something like that.â
âHe did! I heard it! I saw it!â He was standing now. Why wouldnât he just believe him? Herobrine hadnât told anyone besides Dinnerbone. He didnât have much of a social life outside of their friendship, after all. Regardless, this was dangerous information to have, and frankly he might not have even told DB if it werenât for his illness. He needed to know. Needed to Believe him. Dinnerbone tried to sit up again and winced hard, giving up on the action in favor of keeping his head down.
âListen, itâll be fine-â
âNo it fucking wonât!â Herobrine bit out the words. He was mad again. He wasnât some stupid clueless child.
âYou imagined it,â Dinnerbone snapped back. âYou just had a shitty nightmare.â That was it, Herobrine wasnât about to stand there and listen to this again. Without another word, he grabbed his book and stormed out of their dorm room, slamming the door on his way out. Dinnerbone did not follow.
