The home of Sarah Sham (@sarahmsham) is a confluence of the past and the present. #Repost @archdigestindia The Essajees Atelier (@essajeesatelier) head and her husband relocated to the 2,400 square feet, three-bedroom rental apartment in South Mumbai after the birth of their daughter, when they realized they needed more space to accommodate their growing family. “It is one of these beautiful old houses of Bombay,” the designer says. “When my broker showed me this space, it was in awful condition. There were major leakage issues, the ceiling had fallen in, the bathrooms were horrible, the kitchen was not in usable condition. But even then, I saw the potential that this space could be something really exceptional.” The home enjoys clear 11 feet high ceilings, and massive rooms with plenty of natural light.
