Like yukiko is a high level orgsnidation member who uses all the traveling she does with yusaku to hide her organization assignments. While vineyard is just this nice aunt of shinichis and kaitos (vermouth and yukiko both studied under toichi right?)

So when her son gets poisoned and shrunken she actively starts working against the organisation as revenge

- Yukiko Kudo is a retired actress, married to famous writer Yusaku Kudo. Their son fancies himself a detective. (Vermouth is the Black Organisation’s best spy, nothing is known about her.)

- Sharon Vineyard is a world-famous actress. Despite many allegations of relationships, she has never actually settled down with anyone. (She longs for days she could spend with someone who would love her as she is, maybe even children. But they all sees the masks she put on, never the person behind.)

- Yusaku travels to escape his editor, Yukiko follows him out of love (and because this makes things a lot easier, whenever she has a job to do.) Yusaku might or might not be aware of what is going on, but even if he does he keeps it to himself. Yukiko does not want him involved, she genuinely loves him.

- Sharon isn’t very present in either Shinichi or Kaito’s lives, since she travels a lot for her own work and is generally busy, but every year she sends presents for birthday/Christmas, since she knew them when young and was friend with their parents.

- Tropical Land happens. Shinichi got shrunk, Agasa calls to inform the Kudos.

- It takes time before they are able to come back to Japan. There is the same scene as canon, with the fake kidnapping. Yukiko wants Shinichi to leave with them (she’d be able to protect him like that). When he refuses is when she realises that, if she wants to protect her son, she’d have to betray the organisation. And, most importantly, she’d have to be careful about it or it’s her whole family who will die (after all, she knows what happened to the Miyano. She was there.)

- At some point, Sharon got an offer for a film in Japan. There is a whole arc where she’s a suspect as being a member of the BO. (This arc would end with Conan finding out about his mother (: ) She does ends up finding out about Conan.

The alcohol on his tongue is bitter, fizzing as he swallows. He would have preferred tea. There is, needless to say, no tea.

The pretence of ‘remembrance’ for the late King seems hardly a pretence any more, it seems arguably forgotten. The bitterness in his mouth could be from something else entirely. His perch close to the wall offers him a view of the entire hall, of the couples dancing and the guests- revelers- mingling. Glamorous dresses and glitz, alcohol flowing freely into the night.

He would not have thought this odd, only months ago. Perhaps moving to East Archeon had given him more perspective after all. It seems odd to fall back into this way of things, or perhaps it only feels natural, but at least he realizes it is strange even if he does not feel it- there’s that, as contradictory as it seems.
