Greetings, hoping this message finds you well. I have been involved in various local missions, ministries and specifically motorcycle ministry for several years. I was saved by Christ when I put my “everything”in Him on Nov. 19th 2006 and am passionate about sharing the love Christ has for me and you. Then, a few months ago I had open heart surgery. While recovering from the procedure I happened across a documentary film. In this mini-series documentary two men rode motorcycles from England to New York The Long Way Around. I was over taken by the desire to have a similar adventure, which struck me as odd because I had never had the desire to leave the USA for anything other than a quick vacation.

I spent time reflecting and researching how it might be possible for me to also take the gospel on such an adventure. I was truly inspired one morning waking to the realization that I could put these two things I love together. This idea emblazoned on my mind of sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ while traveling overland and to aid and assist the work already taking place in the Central & South Americas. That vision in some way, is still yet to be fully realized, what is clear though is we can accomplish wonderful things for His Kingdom.

It may seem a strange thing, that a guy on a motorcycle traveling through Central America as something that God can use. I agree that this may seem strange up to the point were I remember who God is and the infinite possibilities He can use for His glory. I see this ministry as two parts; spreading the Gospel as I travel and coming along side of existing missions, churches and ministries already at work in Central & South America. We are looking for ministries in Central and South America to make contact with, meet face to face and explore opportunities for support of that ministry in place. In other words we want to find out how can we help and see God move in Latin America.

With every commandment of God comes the enablement of God. Every person who is a believer in the good news of God’s plan for the redemption of men’s souls is most certainly commanded to act, to go and to do. For some this command may require more action and the need to go further. I have been inspired by God to travel overland by motorcycle to where the asphalt ends and beyond. It is my mission to love others and to go and to tell. We know that a Christian is identified by their love of others and by their obedience to God (Romans 12:9. There is need along the difficult roads and paths in the Americas for a traveler who can give testimony for the Lord. Christians are not called to conform to this world but to fight the good fight. The enemy is casting shadow on truth, constantly trying to destroy God’s plan for the redemption of man. As a Christian I choose to be about the Father’s business, building up the Saints and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. There are numerous existing missions in Latin America that need supporting action. It could be that some missions feel isolated and need a new connection to the outside. Working with the missions on the ground I will lend support in the battle against the wicked one. As a Christian it is our duty to destroy speculation and “every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God” (2 Cor. 10:5) Failure to act will result in the loss of reward. Eternal salvation for man only comes from an understanding that we cannot save ourselves, and believing Jesus paid the price for our redemption and then surrendering to that knowledge. We must all remember that our world is not a playground but a battlefield. True satisfaction comes from a proper response to need. I have the need to serve the King of Kings, He who loved us enough to die for us. (John 15:13) The desire to share the entrusted knowledge of eternal life and death with a foreign people would have at one time seemed inconceivable to me. Now the call to spread the Gospel of Truth to the far reaches of the Americas has overtaken me. While I was recovering from a recent surgery I was inspired by God to use a motorcycle in a new and different way. A motorcycle may seem an unlikely tool but in a developing country a motorcycle can attract a lot of attention. I am going to use this attention as an opportunity to witness to people along the way. I will be traveling from mission to mission in Central America. And while at each mission I can help witness to the local families that the missions are having trouble reaching any other way. It may be that the motorcycle can go to remote locations that are not accessible any other way. There is also the strong possibility to develop new disciples along the overland route and really this is what it is all about. By His grace, Eric S. Drudge
