How to pull off a “No-Spend Xmas”
Adulting tip! If you have memberships, rewards programs (like say Swagbucks or Ebates), or a credit card that earns you rewards (examples: cash back, in-store points) let them build up.
I just had a bill at a store I get health products and xmas gifts from for $300. Between points, rewards from my cc, and account credits (for signing people up) I whittled the bill down to $97. Plus, I went into the order with a list from a family member who will split the bill. New total: $48.
So, with some money magic via my credit card’s cashback program, I just paid zero dollars because I let rewards points build up over the year.
This, ladies and gents, is how you win adulthood and Xmas.
