When we met Boomer in his kennel, he was sitting quietly, ears back, and lifted his paw to the gate. He was easy to leash and so very excited to be out for a walk! He pretty much skipped to the play yard. He had a good gate greeting with Nina (female pit) and when they greeted in the yard, he began throwing play bows everywhere! We then brought in Hattie (female pit) with super high, playful, energy - and he LOOOOVED IT! SWIPE to see the video of his very cute moves. We tried him with another male pit - and male shepherd, but his was more stiff around them, so we brought the girls back in for him to have fun. Boomer has had some behavioral issues and has many negative notes listed on his shelter record. He was surrendered for a serious incident with a small dog. But what we have seen from Boomer this week is that he is affectionate and loves attention from humans, and can have fun with large female dogs! We would suggest Boomer be the only dog in the home until he can be further assessed. If Boomer is adopted or rescued from the shelter, he can join our Prison Training Program for 6 weeks (FREE!).
