#adopt rules

I’m having an episode on ToyHou.se!

I won’t name names- but dude... fuck you, man.

My rules for my adoptable characters are so simple:

1) Don’t resell fo more than you paid me- unless you added art

2) Credit me the first time you use them

3) HMU if the owner changes (Trade/Gift/Sell)

4) Change anything you like

But SOMEONE has a hell of a hard time understanding those super easy rules- I mean- they’re basically just courtesy! I don’t have a ridiculous rule like “If you don’t use them within a week- they’re mine again.”

This ass wagon seriously did this, you ready?:

Traded three of my adopts for some (lack lustre) characters > took me off the creator AND designer credit > deleted their original comments > sold them for deviantart points > never told me who they belong to now.

I’ll be making more adoptables so I thought I’d explain the rules for them! It’s pretty simple and it won’t be long.

You CAN’T:

claim the design as yours

resell the design. Please do not make money off of my work.  

You CAN:

modify, genderbend, add, just change the whole adopt if you want. It’s all yours so have fun with it!

obviously post the adopt and stuff, without the need of mentionning me everytime. It’s appreciated and I’d love to see them in their owner’s style but it’s up to you!

Emporian adventurers love to be seen and noticed in many ways. Some prefer a simple conversation before easily heading off with a Traveler’s first Adventure, and others take a lot more convincing before they can part ways with their beloved planet! 

If Raffle:

Simply comment “Entering!” Under the post and I’ll (@epitaphofastar) will log your entry! 

All Raffle entries will be rolled to determine the winner! 

If RTA:

—-> RTA stands for “reason to adopt!”

Please ask this adopt blog with a picture of the adopt you’d like, and give 3 reasons why you’d like this character!

The adopt designer will randomly choose the winner of the RTA after the designated end-time of the adopt entry window! 

If WTA:

—-> WTA stands for “write to adopt”

Please ask this adopt blog with a picture of the adopt you’d like, and give at least 2 big paragraphs (6+ sentences) of a written story about this character! 

It could be about your Traveler meeting them, or about the character itself -  but be creative! 

!! AI writing will immediately be disqualified and you will be banned from Emporia proper. 

If DTA: 

Please draw the character to win them, in your interpretation!

DTA’s will be judged by: N/A (I love seeing everyone’s art)! 

——> If there’s multiple entries after 48 hours; I’ll close the DTA and spin a wheel to determine the winner!

——> If there’s no entries after 48 hours, the adopt becomes “draw to win” - but the first artist to draw the character wins them! 

!! AI art will immediately be disqualified and you will be banned from Emporia proper. 

If OTA:

Please read the character’s description before offering! 

In-Lore: These Emporians should be convinced to adventure with anyone with art, craft, or mixed monetary offerings! 

If BTA: 

Please read the character’s description before placing a bid!
