“Can you stop pacing all over the house?” Namjoon asked Jimin, laughing a little at the vision before him. Park Jimin was a mess. Not in a bad way, just a full on nervous and happy ball. He got no response, as Jimin was too immerse in his thoughts.

“What’s wrong with him?” 

 “He confessed to y/n and now she’s coming over”, Taehyung answered amused by the whole situation, while sitting beside Jungkook on the couch. “I guess he is nervous about that” 

“Yeah, Jiminie hyung? But you already know she likes you back, why such a fuss?” 

“Who likes whom?” Hobi asks while entering the living room along with Yoongi. “Jimin-ah likes y/n and y/n likes him”, Jungkook was quick to say, a smirk playing in his lips.

“Did you get yourself a girlfriend, Jimin-ah?”, Yoongi asked while wringling his eyebrows. 

“SHE’S NOT MY GIRLFRIEND”, the boy finally said. Well, screamed. 

“Easy there, tiger”, Taehyung said as the others laughed at the sudden outburst.

“Oh my God, what if she doesn’t want to be? Why didn’t I ask her already?”

 “Jimin hyung, calm down. You are doing it again”, Jungkook walked over to him and put both his hands in Jimin’s shoulders. “Stop freaking out. You like eachother and you finally know, so the most difficult part is out of the way”, he smiled, seeing his hyung’s breathing growing steadier. “Unless she’s coming here to smooch you. Then you can be nervous.”

Panic rushed through Jimin’s features in a second, right before the maknae’s hysterical laughter. “Jungkookie!!!!”, Taehyung yelled, reprimending him for stressing his best friend yet again. “Don’t worry Jimin-ssi, just kiss if the situation brings it up, it’s not like you’ve never kissed anybody” 

“Yah! I’ve never kissed someone like her.” 

Everyone was confused, as they remember Jimin having a girlfriend at some point. “I… mean. I can’t understand h-how I feel about her. It’s really overwhelming and it makes me all kinda… fuzzy” 

A chorus of aw’s echoed the room, as his bandmates were touched seeing their partner so flustered. “That’s pretty much called love, Jimin-ah”, Joon said, clapping him on the back. 

“Guys… don’t overreact, I think it’s too soon to-“ The doorbell rang, and you could see Jimin’s soul leaving his body, nervousness taking over him again. “Yeah, whatever, big boy. She’s here”, Yoongi smirked as he walked to the hallway to open the door. Jimin tried to open his mouth to finish his sentence, but just a high squeal came out. 

Yoongi opened the door, knowing already y/n would be at the other side. Her cheeks had a slight pink on them and Yoongi guessed it wasn’t because of how hot it was outside. “Yoongi oppa! Did I just hear someone scream? Is everything okay?” 

“Hey y/n, come in. Everything’s great, just the usual annoying guys, you know?”

“I brought dinner, by the way. I assumed you’d all be here and I didn’t want Jin to cook for all of us again”, you say, holding both your arms out, making Yoongi notice the bags you were carrying. 

“Need any help with that?” Namjoon appeared, giving you a wink before taking the bags from you. With that, he left for the kitchen with Yoongi following, probably wanting to try some food before the others. “Thanks oppa!”, you yell while hanging your coat and taking your shoes off. 

You still weren’t as calm as you wanted, your heart beating fast with anticipation knowing Jimin was waiting for you at the end of the hallway. After a few seconds that, to be honest, passed by too quickly, you take a deep breath and follow the sound of loud laughter throught the hall. 

When you enter the living room, the boys take a few minutes too many to notice you, everyone clearly busy with something. Both Jungkook and Taehyung were sitting beside Jimin on the floor, whispering things to him as he held his head in his hands. Hobi and Jin sat at the table having a snack. 

“Y/N!”, one of the boys yelled and, to be fair, you don’t remember who. Your eyes were focusing on Jimin and on how his head snapped the moment he heard your name. You locked eyes for a second, a smile coming to your lips before having to turn away, too embarrassed to keep staring at him. 

After the older ones said their hello’s to you, Taehyung threw himself at you, almost knocking you down, and whispered in your ear.

“Finally, I thought you chickened out after our conversation” 

“No… I’m just really nervous… I don’t know what to say to him” 

“Well, you better figure it out because we are all leaving!” 

“Wh-what?”, you separate yourself from him, trying to look for a sign that he was just teasing you. “But I brought dinner for everybody!” 

“Oh, well, we’ll eat it when we get back in a few hours. Thank you, anyways.” With a pat on the back, he leaves you standing in the middle of the room, watching as the others leave behind him. Jungkook smirks while passing beside you, whispering something that sounds an awful lot like “thank me later.” 

And in the blink of an eye, you are alone with Jimin, drowning in awkwardness as neither of you really acknowledges the presence of the other. Finally, after what feels like a whole year, Jimin speaks up. “Um… Are you gonna stand the whole night? You could sit on the couch while I pick a movie” 

He gets up from the floor and wipes his hands on his jeans. You just nod, picking a blanket up as you move closer to the couch. Beside the TV, Jimin is crouching, trying to look at the titles sitting on the shelf. “Should we watch some horror?” 

You can hear the smile on his face as he teases you, perfectly knowing you can’t stand it. But well, neither can he. “Jiminie… do I need to remind you that time you had to sleep with Tae because of a horror movie?”, you answer him playfully, a small laugh escaping your lips as you recall that conversation. 

“Hey! It was really scary and Yoongi hyung kept reminding me of it afterwards!”, he pouts without even noticing, and your heart flutters so much you think it’s gonna fly away. 

“You’re cute”, you blurt out, covering your mouth the instant right after. Turning pink, even more than when you arrived, you put your legs up on the couch and try to hid your face in your lap. Jimin stays silent, trying to catch his breath when he realizes how right the boys were. He is so in love with you it is just dumb he didn’t figure it out sooner. 

Quietly, he walks towards the couch and sits down, and you notice his warmth right away. He reaches out for your hand, shaking a bit, before he puts his own right on top of it. “I think you are freaking cute, if it makes you feel better”, he whispers, and yet again, even though you can’t see him, you know he is smiling. “So look at me, please?” 

It takes you a little to respond, half embarrassed, half excited at what is happening. When you finally lift your head, your eyes meet his. “Hi…”, you say shyly, still not able to believe you spoke so suddenly. 

“Hey, cutie” 

“Yah, Jimin, stop teasing me…”, you bit your lip, wishing he wasn’t so close so you could think more clearly. 

“I’m not teasing you. It’s true you are cute. It’s your fault, not mine.” 

“How is it my fault?”

“Maybe if you weren’t this cute, I wouldn’t have fallen for you”, he shrugged, as if what he just said wasn’t such a big deal, and yet you could see how his confidence wasn’t that truthful. He was just as nervous as you were. You shake your head, smiling, and gently punch him on the chest. “Shut up…” 

“Oh, no. I’ve been waiting to tell you for years just how I can’t stop thinking about you for a second and I’m not gonna stop now that I’m rambling because if I do I might never tell you.” You try to stop him, to tell him to relax or he might choke on air, but he just keeps going. “From the moment Jungkookie introduced you to us, man, I knew it was over for me. I couldn’t stop noticing every little thing about you. How you scrunch your nose when you are trying not to laugh, or the cute little voice you use when you are hungry. It went on for months. Every single thing you did had me thinking about how kind and wonderful you are. And I guess everyone knew before me… I couldn’t really place what this was because I’ve never felt it before. Until today, when the boys literally told me to stop being an idiot and tell you how stupidly in love I am with you” 

You were looking at him straight in the eyes, while yours were watering as he went on. Trying to grasp how such a beautiful person was in love with you, you felt tears roll down your cheeks, too overflowed with emotion to even wipe them off. 

“S-sorry… maybe I went too far”, Jimin says while looking worriedly at you, his fingers reaching for your cheeks in an attemp to get rid of your tears. You covered his hands with yours, startling him. 

“N-o, no. They a-are hap-py tears, Jiminie.” 

“They are?” 

“Of course they are”, you say recovering yourself a little bit so you could speak. “They are happy tears because I can’t believe you are in love with me.” 

“Well, I am. And I can’t believe I told you just like that”, he laughs, your whole body shaking as he was still holding your face. 

“I’m glad you did. That way I can tell you I love you too” Jimin’s mouth opened, just like he was expecting to get turned down. 

“Oh, wow. You d-do?” 

You nod, being this your turn to laugh as the boy looked astonished compared to his smiley face from a few minutes ago. “Close your mouth, Jimin-ah. A fly might get in” 

“Would you close it for me?” He pulls your face closer to his, the sudden confidence coming from him making you the surprised one. He bits his lip, and you nod yet again, being so focused on him you can’t even form words. 

And he is finally kissing you, his lips gently on yours as you wrap your arms around his neck. You can’t help but smile into the kiss, and it drives Jimin insane. He separates his face from yours, and tilts his head slightly. “You can’t do that… It’s gonna make my heart stop” 

“Sorry… I couldn’t help it, now it’s your fault” 

“Oh, yeah? How so?” 

“Well, if you hadn’t confessed your undying love for me, I wouldn’t be this happy right now” 

“It is my fault then. I’ll take it. Now, can I kiss you again?” 

“What happened to shy Jimin?” 

“He doesn’t have a reason to be shy anymore” 

“What was the reason, then?” 

“That he didn’t have a girlfriend.” 

“Didn’t? When did you get a girlfriend?”

After Taehyung pointed at you to make it impossible for you to ignore his request of needing more food, you had to get up and follow him to the kitchen, just after Jungkook. When you closed the door behind you, both your friends looked at you with evil (but kinda cute) smiles on their faces. 

“It’s a flawless plan, Y/N”

“Oh my god, Tae. It’s not! He is gonna notice the moment we go back!” 

“He’s too busy with the movie to even think about how weird it is”, Jungkook says trying to calm you down. Which, actually, doesn’t work at all. 

“So it is weird!” 

“You are thinking too much”, Taehyung says while rolling his eyes at you.

“It’s not like he is gonna find out you have a crush on him just because you sit beside him!”

“Well, hyung is right" -Kookie shrugs- “He probably won’t thin-” 

At that moment, the kitchen door opened and Jimin looked at the three of you from the other side. “What’s taking you so long? Yoongi hyung keeps complaining about how thirsty he is.“ 

“Oh. Um-m, just waiting for the popcorn”, you say, trying not to blush thinking about the conversation you were having a few seconds ago. “Why don’t you guys go back and bring the drinks to Yoongi? Taehyungie and I will wait for the popcorn.“ 

Your head snaps at Jungkook’s sudden change of plan, but you instantly nod. "Okay, c'mon then, we’ll be missing half the movie at this rate.” 

Jimin holds the door waiting for you to move, so Taehyung nudges your arm subtly to make you react. “Yeah, okay. There you go.” You hand Jimin two glasses and leave the kitchen right after him, not seeing Jungkook and Taehyung’s highfive behind you. 

 “Who’s thristy?”, Jimin asks walking into the living room. 

 "Ugh, finally”, Yoongi answers raising his hand, and Jimin laughs, handing him his drink. You can’t help but smile hearing the boy’s laugh. “They’ll probably fight for the popcorn, so just come sit with me”, Jimin tells you while gesturing his head towards the kitchen. “You know how they get.” 

You look at him and just blink, thinking quickly what to say to hide your sudden embarrassment. “Remember that time Kookie almost bite my hand for trying to eat his chocolate?” 

 "Yeah, you should be thankful you still have both of your cute hands”, the short boy says while sitting on the couch. You thank the lack of light as you feel your cheeks burning up at Jimin’s comment, kind of frozen where you stand. At your weird response, Jimin pats the spot beside him. 

“C'mon, don’t wanna be in open field when those two get here. You might get a few pieces of popcorn on your hair”

“If they throw stuff at me I’m never coming back to movie night”, you say, finally sitting down and focusing on controlling your breathing.

“Aww, you wouldn’t really do that, right?”, he says while slightly pouting. Your heart caughts in your throat as you manage to get out a low “of course not”, earning a shy smile from him. Right at that moment, Taehyung and Jungkook show up with a big bowl and looking for a spot to sit. When Taehyung’s eyes land on you and Jimin closely sitting where he was before, he winks at you, which only makes you blush more. You look at Jimin’s profile, hoping he didn’t see his best friend’s move. You couldn’t be sure, since his eyes were focusing on the screen, but in his mouth was plastered the biggest smile. 

Just like you predicted, sooner than later Jungkook and Taehyung started playfuly hitting eachother, making even less space available on the couch. Suddenly, you feel Namjoon’s arm on yours, and you don’t have time to react as you are pushed right into Jimin’s side. 

“Guys! Stop it! You are gonna make all of us fall from the couch”, Jin screams at both of them, making them immediately stay still and murmur a few “sorry hyung”

 You are too focused on watching the amusing exchange that you don’t notice Jimin’s hand on your back until everyone starts moving to their original spot.
