Got back to Japan
Last week, I got back to Japan from Dakar and started internship hunting and preparing for new school life in Barcelona. For internship, I visited some send-off parties held by consulting firm and investment bank. So far, orienting to be a strategic consultant, I really enjoy to talk with professional consultant from various firms. An interesting thing is that there are some colors and features in each company. It's very difficult to choose one from them because all of them has each advantage.
In terms of Preparation for new life, I went to Barcelona last week to join an school event called "Admitted Weekend". It was a first chance for the new (class of 2016) students to meet up together. Although it is not mandatory, there were about 80 to 90 students. It is more than 30% of all students. I could enjoy getting in touch with future classmate from 54 countries. We shared expectation and concern with each other. That exchange help me to make clear the life in IESE. The clearer an image of student life became, the more I came to look forward to September when the program start.
Additionally, I started to study Spanish. Currently I use Japanese textbook and RosettaStone. I used RS when I studied French and I felt it is not fit for my learning style. I learn language structurally and comprehensively. It's probably Japanese style. We often starts with comprehensive grammar. RS, on the other hand, put emphasis on not comprehensive grammar but basic and useful expression, phrase, word. The way may be helpful for becoming able to "speak" Spanish in early stage. Using both of them, Japanese textbook and RS, I'm maximising my Spanish learning. A more than sufficient time, from my unemployed situation, enable me to do so.
