That being said, it's been a rough couple of days for my family and I've been spending as much time as possible with them, hence my lack of activity. Admining a roleplay is just not in me at the moment, unfortunately, though I do miss y'all a lot. I hoped to be back by tomorrow, but it seems my family has other plans, and as much as we wish they didn't, real life priorities come first. I'll most likely be back by Sunday or Monday, though it's looking more towards Monday from where I'm standing, to be honest. Hopefully, my mood can pick up on Sunday, though!

Kelsey and I love you all a lot and we appreciate every single one of you and I want to get all mushy but then I'll be like that overbearing mother in public so I'm gonna not. Just a lot of love, babes, and I hope to be back with your lovely faces soon!

Though we're generally extremely happy with activity at the moment, we were actually really serious when we asked you to reply to the first three or four starters in the tag before making your own. Don't just reply to a character who's being played by someone you have a close OOC relationship with or someone you believe your character would only interact with, because that's not what this roleplay is about! This roleplay is about developing your character through several different relationships and interactions with people they wouldn't normally interact with. It's a crossover, after all - just put your character out there! Please check your activity constantly too, and try not to miss replies. Look for 'em!

There have also been some people who've yet to post at all - please try to get on that ASAP, before tomorrow afternoon, preferably, because we seriously don't want to hound y'all more than we need to. We're just being admins, we hope you understand, and think about how it feels to be ignored and whether or not you'd want it to happen to you. We hate the feeling, and don't wish that on anyone, so please try your best to follow our rules and we'll be super a-ok, we promise. We love you a lot and thank you guys for making this a successful first day! :*

I'm off to finish watching this episode of Orphan Black then I'm heading off to bed to make myself feel better because it's Mother's Day tomorrow and we're doting on my mother, aye. First off, please be sure you've read the NEW MEMBERS CHECKLIST thoroughly. This will help with the building of your account and whatnot before reading the rest of this list.

BE AWARE THAT WE EXPECT YOU TO READ THROUGH AND ABIDE BY THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS. Pleaaaase don't make us have to message you and talk to you b/c we're so cool that our coolness factor will go down a factor every time we have to, y'know? Alright, without further ado, things to keep in mind:

When you log onto your account, please reply to the first THREE or FOUR (depending on how recent they are) starters in the #twtstart tag before even thinking about making your own. We don't want anyone to be excluded, and if you happen to see a starter with little to no notes, well, get on that ASAP, friend. This will be an every-day thing, not just a today thing, and if we see people start posting starters and completely ignoring the ones in the tag with little to no notes, we won't hesitate to come talk to you about it.

The OOC blog link will be given to those who want to partake in it (send us a message if you do!). It is not mandatory, and we would never want someone to join if it's not something they're comfortable with doing. That being said, this OOC blog is at something of a trial period. The minute cliques seem to start forming or someone is being blatantly ignored or made to feel left out, it will be shut down, no questions asked, and we'll have to make do with messages.

During GIF chats and GIF paras, please do not use icons of GIF icons; try to stick to HQ small/medium GIFs of your faceclaim. If you've no idea how to find any of these, then please, don't hesitate to come to us and we will direct you to several GIF hunts where you can start saving them. GIF chats are a requirement - please don't sit there and brood in your corner like Batman would do b/c unless you're actually Batman, like, with the money and the Batmobile and everything, we'll have to be good little admins and ask you to interact with everyone, despite it maybe not being your favorite form of communication.

Please refrain from starting OOC drama. That means don't go insulting what other people here like, what they ship, who they look up to - it's not nice, and we won't stand for it. Basic rules of kindergarten! If you've nothing nice to say...

Remember that the main page will be sending out trigger messages to heroes/villains - whenever their powers kick in, or when an event occurs that can prompt them to start off on their hero/villain paths. As for civilians, don't worry, what with Kels and I playing two ourselves, all of us will be included immensely in plot drops and in tasks.

Let me be as honest as I possibly can with you guys, and everyone else who seems to be a little ticked in our inbox, for good measure.

Our choices were nothing personal. We stated several times, over and over, that we would be as fair as we possibly could. Six and a half hours of pouring over applications seems to be enough of proof, you know? And we're being so completely serious. Several of the people we accepted were people who sent and resent and resent their application, perfecting it as much as they could because they wanted the role so badly. We had someone resend it five times, only adding more each time they did. And you were all welcome to do so, as we stated several times during the week. Some of our previous roleplaying partners did not get accepted, and they're understanding as to why. We were being fair, not biased. They're professional enough to understand that and mature enough to know that this is a roleplay, and a roleplay should never get in the way of an OOC relationship. They knew this before they applied, too, which is why Kelsey and I felt free to scrutinize the applications fairly and uniquely. 

So not posting their complete application - even though we know would help you guys out - was a decision we discussed for days. Honestly, we'd bring it up and things would get tense because we just didn't know what to do about it. The decision was made final when we realized that, unfortunately, writing styles and applications altogether are completely subjective. What is "good writing" to us might not be "good writing" to you, and we'd only receive more backlash than what we're already receiving. We knew we'd get backlash - over eighty applications basically assured us of that - but we knew it'd only be worse if what you saw in an applicant wasn't what we saw, and we would never ever want to put our applicants through petty insults and backhanded compliments, you know? And if you ever want to know why you weren't accepted, shoot us an ask - like we said, you are all wonderful fucking writers, like, there is nothing wrong with any of you, and you shouldn't let your not being accepted put you down whatsoever because this is a game. Your writing is superb, really, all of them, and it took us so long to be able to decide between applications and find the person who was the most passionate about the character.
