I'm interested in joining this game, but it seems that you're all a very tight-knit group. Is there any advice that you can give me for bringing an OC into a game that's already pretty well established?

I definitely understand it can be intimidating to come into a long-running, established group, but I promise you, and this isn’t just my admin bias speaking, but our group of players are the most supportive I’ve ever RPed alongside. We’ve had a number of players decide to try out new characters, both canon and OC, for the first time in this verse because of the positive, encouraging, and safe environment.
In terms of character development, I’d suggest looking through our taken character tag so you can have an idea of the character types and traits present in-game. You can also check out the jobs page and see where you might think your character could fit in, or see a category we’re lacking that could fit your character. Also, here’s a link to the last most wanted question we answered, which includes FC suggestions.

do you have a most wanted character?
Hey, Anon! We’d love to see any of the open characters, but at the moment I think Kate Hummel, Unique Adams, Jane Hayward and Santana Lopez are our most wanted connections-wise. If any of our players have a particularly wanted character, though, definitely add them!
I've been looking around the main and was thinking about applying, but I had a question. I know you've been around for a while, so if I applied as a character that was already in the game, would I need to keep any plots that happened from before?
Hey there, Anon! Because we are a long running game with a crazy web of character connections, we totally understand how joining in on the fun could seem daunting, but we’d absolutely love to have you!
In regards to keeping plots from previous players, we’ve had new players join and pick up where others left off, and we’ve had players wipe the slate clean. Because everyone approaches their characterization differently, we wouldn’t want to lock anyone into a plot that doesn’t feel authentic for their portrayal.
So, for instance, if a new player decided to not carry on a plot, or wanted to essentially reboot a character that’s been previously played and involved in dash drama, that’s more than doable as the previous verse canon can just be assigned to an NPC. But if a new player wanted to continue everything as is, that would be great, too! Basically, how you choose to portray your character is entirely in your hands!
