Badass Hufflepuff

Because Hufflepuffs will fuck you up even worse than a Slytherin

Bill dares him to take apart the dryer after hearing about the missing sock issue for the third time that week. Dipper has a relative background in mechanics after working with Ford for long enough, so he takes the challenge.

Bill knows something Dipper doesn't.

After four hours of discontented deconstruction of their only drying device other than the air itself, and one too many disgruntled noises audible from outside the basement door, Bill floats downstairs. Without a word, he kicks the base of the dryer and loosens it's lower hinges, revealing a lower inside area of it in which all of the socks had fallen through and gotten caught in the dryer. He stares at Dipper expectantly.

Dipper ponders how much time he's wasted.

"...you know, you could have just told me."

"Nah." Bill grins. "Nice try, Sherlock. Now, it'd be a good idea to take an allergy pill, considering all the lint that's most likely attacking your respiratory system."

Dipper sighs. Bill is right.

Slowly, as Neji left his slumbering state, he became awareof several things. His significant other wrapped up in his arms, the gentle morninglight peeking through the closed curtains of their bedroom, and the soft sheetscovering his body being some of the items he picked up on. Although Neji had becomeconscious, sleepiness still hung over him like a thick fog, and so his lavendereyes remained hidden behind heavy eyelids.

In a corner of Neji’s mind, where he was doing more thanjust relishing in the warmth of his bed and savouring his partner’s touch, asthe rest of his subconscious was doing, he felt his significant other shift inthe bed next to him. He briefly registered that they had awoken, but his drowsythoughts decided not to do anything about this detail.

Neji didn’t feel his partner’s weight leave the bed. Instead,he noticed them leaning closer to him, and he felt a smooth hand push back alock of his hair, which had been laying over his forehead. He moved into theirtouch, ever so slightly, but not enough to key them into the fact that he wasawake. He allowed himself to relax as they stroked his dark, silky strands. Themovement of their hands paused for a moment, and Neji almost pouted in protestat the loss of the light touch, but new contact was found before he had thechance to do so.

He felt them press a small, lingering peck to his forehead,directly over his curse seal. Neji’s heart swelled at the motion, and emotionscoursed through his body. He was overly self-conscious about the mark that layupon his pale forehead, and the gesture touched his heart.

“Good morning, love,” Neji murmured his gentle greeting in aslightly husky voice. He opened his eyes to be addressed with the sight of hissignificant other’s twinkling face above his, and he gave them a soft smile inreturn.
